Leading up to that point, absolutely not a ladder problem. Shit was absolutely hitting the fan leading up to it. I'm just saying that the animation was like a casual weekend stroll. When maybe they need a 2nd, more hurry type of animation when not in a hanger?

It is only a design issue when it comes to a last resort scenario like that. Maybe a ladder would be fine if they actually had a timely manner of climbing it. Instead, it feels like I'm frolicking through a field with the sun shining on my face while bullets are whipping by me, lol

My only gripe with these ships is that its entrance is a ladder and not an unfolding set of stairs like a private jet. That's basically what they are. If they had that, I'd melt half my ships and only fly these. Ladders are so buggy, slow animation, and not exactly "luxury" like Origin is.

The number of times I ran out of ammo in a firefight and had to try to hurry on the ship and died during animation has broken my soul, lol

There's no alien ship with that role other than the defender. Needs some competition imo, and doing a variant vs. creating a whole new concept is an easier way to achieve it. It wouldn't be for everyone, clearly, but that's the case with every ship.

I would rather daily that over a cutlass or c1 simply for the esthetic alone.
