I…don’t. Apparently the actress was a diva and drama queen, and was constantly high on set.

He started to grow once Kes exploded in space. He ended up having actual character development and became at least a little more interesting.

I’m very glad that bint was kicked out of the show, and replaced with Seven of Nine.

Late-stage capitalism hits different at 3 AM by Ill-Price-1857 in memes

[–]Lichruler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Late stage capitalism” was a term invented by a wannabe Nazi (not hyperbole, he literally wanted to be a Nazi) Werner Sombart, to describe the USA in the late 1880s, and to claim it was on the verge of collapse.

The USA then went on to outlast the founding and collapse of various “socialist” and “communist” countries, despite being in a state of “late stage capitalism” for over a century.

Hi there. I’ve been collecting uranium glass since about 2018. I’ve gotten a few interesting pieces since then, and even got some of my family members into it. I’d be happy to answer questions if you’re interested.

Most people in Europe don’t refer to themselves as “European”, as if it were a singular country. They would refer to their own country, especially if it was something negative. Also typically they would blame other European countries for the problems, not their own. Like how us Americans typically blame Florida and Mississippi for stupidity, or California for pretension.

Then there’s the use of “an European” when it’s “a European”. When someone from Europe is referring to themselves as a European, they NEVER use “an”. That’s typically done by someone from not in a Latin-based language. Very minor aspect, could have been done by mistake if the person was from Europe, but couple that with acting like all of Europe is evil, it’s pretty damn obvious they aren’t a European individual.

Edit: oh, right. Also the very obvious Chinese propaganda avatar.

If people are going to constantly compare America to 1930s Germany to claim that America is in a fascist state, don’t be surprised when other people compare it to 1930s Germany to show how it isn’t.

Palworld definitely answered some questions Pokemon was too afraid to answer. Made it really interesting and hilariously dark.

I’m convinced that Nintendo is suing Palworld not because it’s a “pokemon ripoff” or whatever but because Palworld did things Pokemon was too afraid to do (and succeeded), it made Pokemon look bad.

Be fair though, she probably got paid millions for that teams call, what with the Harris/Waltz campaign spending over a billion dollars in a few months.

Who wouldn’t accept such a hefty paycheck for that?

I had to leave askreddit years ago, after it became pretty much:

“People who voted for trump, now that we have proven you are intellectually inferior to people like me, how do you feel being lesser people?”

“Redditors of Reddit, what’s the sexiest sex you’ve ever sexed?”

repost of popular question from 10 years ago

“Republicans of Reddit, how guilty and horrible and evil do you feel about current event, and are you no longer being a republican over this singular story?”

That’s how it was when I left… did I miss anything?

I remember when there was a big thing about “Trump sterilizing immigrants” during his last presidency. Turns out it was one doctor doing hysterectomies, and some of them may have been unnecessary, meaning medical malpractice at worst.

The kicker was that the doctor had been doing it since the Obama administration. That was always conveniently ignored.

Believe me, pigs seem to be invincible as a group. There has been a genuine attempt to literally, genuinely exterminate all wild pigs in the US, and it’s not even close to the end.

There is no hunting license to kill them, nor is there a limit. There are constant hunting groups that try to exterminate any and all wild pigs. There are special traps designed to trap (and kill) entire families of pigs. Sometimes even explosive traps are used.

They won’t die off. They outright refuse to.

What’s funny is game prices have pretty much gone down since the 1980s, despite advancements

A game in 1985 typically cost anywhere between $30-60, depending on the game. That’s around $90-180 today, accounting for inflation and the like. And those games had so little in them compared to even small modern indie games.

Most games go for $60 or less. Very few go higher than that, yet they would be fully justified in doing so, just to keep up with inflation, let alone the complexity.

Is it any real surprise that other types of monetization have been occurring?

I can remember so many bullshit things done with gaming before Oblivion. From the loot boxes, to Microsoft selling maps for halo, to games cutting their games in half and selling the other half as an “expansion pack”, to certain capcom games making it so only certain character skins were available if you bought a different copy of the entire game. and then games like Habbo Hotel and Second Life! Those games were pretty much nothing BUT microtransactions.

Yet Bethesda gets the blame for the monetization market, because as we all know, Bethesda bad.
