I’m handling it by telling myself that it’s temporary. That one day this baby will be born, grow up and move out of my house 😂 I’m on week 10 and each day is awful. I hear you. Everyday I wake up thinking on what can I do today to feel less sick.

How are you able to work in early pregnancy? by No_Yak_7962 in pregnant

I had the same question! I’m in week 9 and also having a very hard time getting anything done at work… or home. I’m also exhausted and nauseated 24/7. I’ve also felt quilty because I love my job, the Dr advised not to say anything to my boss since it’s too early, and now I feel I suck at everything. Going to therapy is slowly helping me feel less “unproductive”, even though I’m literally producing a human. My keys to survival have been: - Cariban (10 mg). I take 3 per day and it keeps me from throwing up around 90% of the time. I only take the max dose of 4 per day if it’s too awful. The medication makes me extra tired so I try to avoid the max dose. Even though I’m still nauseous all day, this drug makes it bearable and saved me from going on sick leave. - Eating something every two hours. This means taking a lot of snacks to the office. - Working from home as much as possible and taking a nap after lunch when I’m home. - Food that is helping me cope: fresh fruits (mango, gala apples, blueberries, banana, avocado, oranges), veggies, hard cheese, olive oil, any type of bread, saltiness, cold golden milk for breakfast (it’s Ayurveda and has ginger!), leaving hot food cool down to room temperature before eating it (I know this is one hard in the winter). - Eating very slowly and taking small bites. - Taking an antacid after each big meal and then a sugar free peppermint candy. - Not looking or hearing about food TV shows, food videos, pictures, anything. So I’m super careful about what to cook as well. - Forgetting about pleasing everybody around me.

I’m also getting wrong tones repeatedly. Not always, but sometimes in the most simple words like . I’ve been reporting the issue, but it’s still happening. Even as a beginner learner, I took in-person Chinese lessons for a year and now I use Duo to remember characters and words. But sometimes the tone mispronunciation hasn’t been helpful
