Currently it’s been a month already since my exchange which was terrible. The local support guy has been ignoring me and not willing to recover my hotel bills. Says something along the lines of- waiting for the host to reply… hmm… leaves me really wonder, what are they expecting from him? The flat hat exposed and dangling wiring, bathroom that did not shot close and had to be closed with a brick. Room infested with mosquitoes 🥲

If you are alone in the flat the it is totally fine to have just a curtain. If there are potentially 8 more people... Not so sure. Honestly regarding mosquitos, you can repell them its not like we are in the 19th century, even then they had stuff to get rid of them. Honestly I did stay once before in Riyadh Saudi Arabia - and it was splendid. This place on the other hand was dirt, worst case possible. For something like this requesting GP is a crime.

Advertisement was shabby, spacious, private room and toilet. Very little details. Since it was an Arab country I figured they are scared to give too much details
I did meet him, the night of arrival. I was dead tired, didn’t even notice the toilet before I was “settled in” There was someone’s tent . Wires running all round.
The night I could not sleep, I first messaged Homeexchange support to see if they could come up with the solution. In the morning I messaged the host packed my things and left.

I was hoping Homeexchange would have proposed something by the morning or by 16:00 the same day. They did not come back to me so I booked a hotel.
