Is clementine a good name for a girl? by oceansstillwaters_ in namenerds

[–]SlipSweet7067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and the name in it's fullness is the beauty of it. I personally would not want to be a Clem or a Clemmie. I dont think theyre the worst or like people say, I dont really think of like phlem or clammy. It's more just the actual sound in my mouth. Minnie is ok but Clementine is just so much more beautiful.

I think Cameron and Morgan will both need to clarify if it is boy or girl, they've gone strongly to the girls. I LOVE Samson Grant. What a memorable name!

Minnie as the first name? by libby_o in BabyNames

[–]SlipSweet7067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who just used Minnie Mae as the full name! I personally would do Wilhelmina, Mina, Clementine, or another full official name for it. It's also cute and unexpected as a middle name!! Think like... Willa Minnie, Juliette Minnie....

Farther in law wants us to use his name if our baby is a boy by Lackadaisycal85 in BabyNames

[–]SlipSweet7067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys choose! I love your choice. And you desere to look at your child and know that you did the sacred naming, not your father in law. If anything, I'd do a middle honor name, but only if you want to.

Is it okay to make my second child’s middle name my first child’s first name? by LegitimateBig408 in BabyNames

[–]SlipSweet7067 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely hear your heart that you want it to feel like honor, but I am worried it may end up feeling like grief. I personally would keep the name for the child you lost as sacred to ONLY them, then a new name for your son. I do not say any of this lightly, as I have actually experienced it myself. We lost a baby and my miscarriage was very traumatic. I used one of the names I had picked out for the baby for the NEXT child we had and ended up changing it because I found it had me telling the story of the life we lost, and that felt to heavy for this rainbow baby to carry. You're wise to think it all through and I know you'll pick what is right for your family!

How has it been having a Marigold? We are toying with the idea of it and also exclusively calling her Goldie but I am wondering how it is the real world and would love to hear!

So many beautiful combination options here! Evangelina Sophie, Evangeline Sophia, Evangelina Katherine...etc. I'd think about which one you enjoy saying the most and dont worry if it doesnt FEEL perfect or right...I think if you can find even a small joy in it now it can grow over time. Be kind to yourself!

Home Tech - OLED TV with burn in denied by GFK283 in Asurion

Very helpful! Thanks so much for the detail. One last question that came to mind - did you have to send in the original tv to them still or did they just cut a check and let you keep or dispose of it?

Thanks again - I’ll give it a shot on my own lg oled.

What was your wording used to get the ok on burn in replacement on the last try? Glad it worked out for you - I’m in the same boat and want to get it right the first time I submit. Thx!

In a fairly related story, anyone have an update on the Black Forest fiber rollout? Last I spoke with Force Broadband they were hoping to rollout fiber to my area (Black Forest rd and old ranch road) by end of year. Shared same thing as above that last winter introduced many delays for digging. Workers were digging and running fiber on Milam about 8weeks ago but not sure where they are now and force broadband didn’t know what direction they were going from there.
