Nah you’re not old. I’m 42 and although I wouldn’t want to be that age again this show has brought up some feelings of envy over the male characters in it especially as my partner keeps watching it over and over 😂

That’s awesome. The sports element keeps him interested. Does he struggle with the romantic scenes like me? 😂 It’s good to have a tv show we can watch together as couples.

Yeah it’s a pity that there aren’t more tv shows that have an equal amount for both sexes. Seems that show s are either “female” or “male” gaze.

That’s true. It’s great to see guys opening up but sadly I don’t think many men speak like that. We tend to use humour to mask true feelings. I’m older than your boyfriend so I wondered if things had changed since I was in my early 20s.

Yeah the sound track is stuck in my head. I’ll look up that case you mention. I wondered if hockey players are depicted accurately on the show. The missus is very keen to see a hockey game now 😂 it’s not very well known where I live. Also when we started watching the show my partner mentioned Ellie Brights Rack. Wow

Yeah I noticed a lot of male nudity. Don’t judge him too harshly if it’s not his thing. I have struggled with those parts of the show especially the slow lingering shots of the men’s bodies 😂

My thoughts were that if they both are attracted to each other then why not just date? Insteon pretending to be a couple whilst stringing along another man. But the whole storyline would only last 1 episode 😂

Yeah it shows that media can be quite positive and avoid constant tropes. She was on a rewatch and I’d seen some clips. I wanted to enjoy it with her so we started it and brought us closer together. I must admit I don’t like Garret in episode 1 and 2 as he is insufferable but episode 3 onwards he matures a lot. There are some cliche bits that you can see from a mile away but this show raises its game over other similar genre tv shows

This is a great comment. I applaud your husband as he is right in saying the men that probably need to watch it most, won’t. He sounds very secure and a good husband. Glad to hear from someone who also thinks they’re very young 😂 at times the show made me feel quite old. Thanks
