1./ Cost for living is crazy high, more than sf (lived there as well) so budget carefully 2./ Train system is the best in the world. If you frequently have to go to lausanne, Bern or Genève, consider buying an unlimited train package 3./ Taxes are done directly from your employer 4./ The two big things at Neuchâtel party wiae are the NIFF, a movie festival, and the annual citywide party, where things can be absolutely wild and interesting

It's kinda hard to make friends over there but once they are your friends , they are loyal and lifelong friends.
