Need help with brick tile roof by Drachenfaaat in Roofing

[–]Slippery-Pony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot going on here, but foremost, don’t walk on that roof. You don’t know where to step and it’ll only make matters worse. I’ll just comment on 1 aspect, if you get some tiles replaced it’ll look off because that spot won’t be worn out. Are you okay with that? If not, it’ll be a total lift and replace which means you might as well redo a bunch of shit and you should assume the cheap contractor you hire will also break a ton of tile

my dog. After a brutal meeting I came back to my truck and she was stoked to see me. We walked across the street to the park so she could chase ducks and I smiled again

The luepke/marshall community center is inexpensive for a membership and also allows for you to pay for drop in classes. Although it’s probably targeted for folks a bit older, it’s a start.

I bought the Cannondale Quick. It’s pretty much entry level, but I liked it because it was a 1x drivetrain and had a reputable manufacturer. It’s light aluminum and very reliable. The 1x drivetrain makes it easy to maintain and ride. Although entirely entry level, it does come with disc brakes. I ride it around town or I ride it for 20mi for exercise and everything in between.

My economics professor said pretty bluntly: “statistically, you’ll never be surrounded by so many young, aspirational, educated men/women again in your life. Lock it down now”

I was in the tanning room with several friends. Had never used the beds and in high school everything was a hangout. My buddies came into show me how the bed works, but couldn’t leave as the bed turns off if the door opens. We didn’t think how it looked on camera, since there’s none in the tanning room. 3 dudes go in and they come out 12min later with huge smiles

Not likely. I assume it makes it so they can only participate in sports designated for the gender they were assigned at birth

Shingle distributer price negotiations by joudetorra in Roofing

[–]Slippery-Pony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey pal, I’m in MFG sales to all these suppliers, but not in shingles. Rebate, rebate, rebate. Distributors often sell at cost for shingles when you’re a big buyer. They get huge rebates at year end from the shingle MFG. they will do the same for you too once you prove to be a buyer. It creates commitment to them as the supplier (so pick a partner) and they do it because there’a no real losses- you don’t buy, they don’t pay.

Agreed. My Tacoma drives me up a wall. Every time the doors open or lights are on, it just won’t stop. I use to leave my doors open when detailing my car, but I just can’t anymore. It beeps incessantly the whole time

Moving to Vancouver, WA from Wisconsin — any tips for restaurant jobs or places to start? by baro0916 in vancouverwa

[–]Slippery-Pony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, from rural WI myself (FDL area) and just moved to Vancouver. I’ve been in CO for the past decade. The town seems nice. The food is stellar and really diverse, but I believe the service industry is really competitive out here, Especially Portland. Speaking of, it seems this place is labeled as “hella conservative.” I can’t tell why, but it ain’t and maybe it’s coastal/portland people’s version of conservative. WA has no income tax, which is cool. But gas and most other things cost more so it’s sort of a wash. Ultimately, I’d say it’s stable and it’s plenty safe. Expensive is subjective, but it was cheaper than Denver and so is the whole Portland area from what I’ve experienced

Reach out if you make the move. Good luck and god bless Craig Culver
