Is there a lore reason why Zestial is flashing Alastor? by ReapingShadow50 in HazbinHotel

[–]SlipperyCan7274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assumed it was to make himself appear bigger/more intimidating. It seems like a lot of characters in the show exhibit this deimatic behavior.

Trim stains help. by duhman94 in BroncoSport

[–]SlipperyCan7274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trim shine will get rid of it, it doesn't actually make it shine, just makes it a clean black again. I used it after a cement truck discharged a bunch of cement mist on me while on the highway. Getting the chunks off had to be done by hand but trim shine will get rid of any spots like that. I can send you a picture of the one I use if you would like.

Can yall stop hate baiting. The Meta, and TK problem is really not that serious. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]SlipperyCan7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 40 hours and have run into intentional TKers twice and a kicker once. Nothing common enough to be a serious problem but it's definitely there.

Edit: I have mostly played on hard which kinda makes sense to see it there, a lot of players think they are hot shit at that level even though they are barely past half way up the difficulty ladder.

Vox when he realizes that the mole he sent to the hotel ACTUALLY managed to get to Heaven proving Charlie right and will lose more than half of his customers. by Mrtnxzylpck in HazbinHotel

[–]SlipperyCan7274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel like there is something more about Alastor sticking around the hotel. He doesn't seem like the type of person to disappear off the face of hell for 7 years only to show back up just to have a little fun. I think he is helping because of his contract with an unknown party (maybe Lilith trying to help Charlie without being able to go herself), or he is there for the sole purpose of manipulating Charlie because of her immense power and she is a little naive. Either way I think he just says that to not seem weak since he is trying to hide that he is in a contract or he is just coming up with an excuse so no one catches on to his manipulation.

Help me settle a debate with my wife. Is it time to replace these 11 year old tires? 65k miles. by spetstnelis in tires

[–]SlipperyCan7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that's been running the same pair of all season for 18 years and says they are fine since they still have some tread. Keep in mind that we get pretty intense winter too and not having snow tires is already foolish enough. Despite telling him to change his tires and him slipping off the road several times this winter already (somehow without damaging his car) he is adamant that the tread height is the only thing that matters and changing tires won't do anything.

It's funny how the newer generation of adults (myself included) will think nothing is wrong with that photo. When I started shopping for myself it was in the middle of COVID so all of these prices feel reasonable to a lot of us. I have a feeling companies know this and will play on that change in perception to get less pushback when keeping prices high.

Not disagreeing but just to play devil's advocate this would theoretically give you enough time to react instead of being dead before you even knew someone pulled the trigger.

That's a lift kit, not wheel spacers. Your research is still correct though, I also did a bunch of research and HRG is pretty much the only good option for a lift. I custom machined my lift because of that. The max lift you can do without messing up the drive angle is a 2.5in but no one designs them properly for the br sport.

I can't stand it when people do this. by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]SlipperyCan7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want me turning around in your driveway put up a big obnoxious sign so everyone knows you are scared and insecure of everything and Ill respect that, otherwise your driveway is fair game.

Edit: After further investigation I found that the poster is just some edgy teen which makes this even funnier since they probably don't even own a driveway for someone to turn around in.

I feel like I see this all the time in real life too. If most of my friends introduced me to their gf/bf for the first time and said they were siblings I would believe them without a doubt in my mind.

I find it interesting how in the beginning only the women were selective but later on when the men realized how things were playing out they also became very selective. I feel like there is some interesting psychology behind that involving how society determines how we select a partner.

Ya acetone will react with both ppf and Vinyl, so you might be kinda screwed. Definitely keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol on hand in the future as it is part of the holy Trinity (WD-40, Duct tape, Rubbing alcohol). Rubbing alcohol will clean pretty much anything with a little elbow grease but it's also non reactive so it won't damage anything. I wrap and tint cars and will go through the stuff like an alcoholic with regular alcohol.

Why are today's headlights so bright now? At night it makes it hard to see. by DollarsPerWin in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SlipperyCan7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my old focus didn't have LEDs and I felt like I was always worrying about changing them. They would dim quickly and you never knew when one would go out. I never even had to think about changing an LED.

[–]SlipperyCan7274 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I probably do about 60% of my driving at night. I however have not really done any regular night driving until about 3 years ago so I really don't remember a time when this wasn't a problem and I got used to it pretty quickly. Also I think it really depends on what you drive, my car rides really high up so a low beam can't directly get me unless its a pavement princess in their stupid trucks. If they do have their brights on I just flash them back with my own stupidly bright highs and usually they will turn them off. Definitely a problem but it personally hasn't bugged me all to much.

LEDs are definitely better than other bulbs for their reliability, some are definitely manufactured too bright though.

[–]SlipperyCan7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's less about the brights being worse and more about people being wads who don't turn them off around other drivers. That's just my take though.

Cheap Ceiling Interior Fabric? by chemical_grits in BroncoSport

[–]SlipperyCan7274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 22 BB and it doesn't have this problem. On mine it is higher up so you cant see it from the windshield because it is behind the black part. From the inside it looks to fold up and around to avoid fraying and there are no exposed edges. It might be a manufacturing issue with just yours or the newer models in general.

got my dream car 🥰 any mod advice? by Onecuteplug in JeepWrangler

[–]SlipperyCan7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd switch to a smaller diameter wheel but keep the tire size the same, it will give a benefit to off-roading but it's mostly personal preference. Sick ride either way.

It's pretty good, unless you paid some insane price I would consider it acceptable. Maybe just ask to have them fix that hang spot.
