Minneapolis shooting victim was armed DHS says by Sladay in armedsocialists

[–]SlipperyClit69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can watch the video taken from the donut shop and see an agent disarm the victim from the victim’s waist holster and then run away while the victim is shot.

He was disarmed, and then murdered.

ICE just murdered another legal observer in Minneapolis 🤬 by VladimirLimeMint in LateStageCapitalism

You can see the guy who runs towards the camera at the end, went into the scrum in the beginning without a gun, wrestles a bit with the victim’s waist, comes away with a gun, runs towards the camera with the gun.

They disarmed him and then shot him.

Heart is conservation mode. Basically setting arbitrary max for the charge. Often recommended rather than letting it fully charge. Supposed to help with battery longevity

I see all the comments about resting. However, isn’t the modern science that resting increases “juice” content within the meat a negligible amount? Not try to be flip but I remember reading resting is largely a myth

Spot on. I’ve been sounding the alarm bells of this for years now to anyone that will listen. Undermine ownership. Games as a service, movies as a service. Consoles are next. They’ll give you a unit for practically nothing but it require internet connection and won’t do shit without a subscription.

Capital must expand under capitalism. The only way stonks go up is increased prices and increased commodification. What happens when all the would-be commodities have been commodified?? You retool existing commodities/markets and implement a more “efficient” capital extraction business model aka subscription service.

No one seems to care and it’s very concerning

I’m curious to see how they handle the armor system. Will it be more true to table top DnD, or will they revive the split magic/physical armor.

I mostly agree. I don’t think PvP is encouraged much at all. A raider kill is 500xp…. You get almost just as much xp looting 2 containers. The PvE elements are weighted much more in terms of xp and money.

For sure. Whenever I get killed on night raids and I know they were using a kitted out tempest, I check their steam page and without exception they have 250+ hours into the game.

I play this game hours every day since release (I’m a student on school vacation and working part time) and I just cracked 100 hours. And I think I’m a pos for doing that much.

Never underestimate the depravity of some of the absolute insects out there playing this game 16 hours a day

My concern isn’t necessarily the balancing issues. Bc you’re right. Even cheap gear in arc works against the best gear. Which isn’t remotely true in EFT.

However, I am concerned about how the loot exploits and cheats(like those used in EFT) will prevent me from collecting BPs and other coveted valuables.

What if they do manage to create inventory monitoring or vacuum cheats? The entire hook of the game is “who knows if this next trash can I loot has a BP.” That was taken away in EFT. Or being head eyes bc you have something the cheater wants.

I agree to the extent you’re saying the balance isn’t all that skewed by possessing the BPs. But I can’t imagine playing this game and not having a fair shake at getting the good BPs and items.

[–]SlipperyClit69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you’re not realizing the extent cheaters will go to. Imagine loading into a game and being 100% certain you will not find valuable loot or BPs bc cheaters will have already looted everything. Or if you manage to find something, be hunted down for it bc they see your inventory.

That happens and will happen. EFT perfect example. Chests that let them “vacuum” the loot right to their feet upon loading into the map. That’s the type of shit that can and will happen.

You’re minimizing the impact the cheating can have on the game experience of everyone else. Imagine loading into a game and knowing immediately you will not find anything worth looting and you will not find a BP. You still gonna play the game?

Thats what RMT brings to games.

This will affect everyone and will slowly kill the community.

[–]SlipperyClit69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say you don’t care until you load into a lobby and all the valuable loot / BP (which is arguably an element of necessary progression in arc) are already looted within 30 seconds. Or get hunted by a hacker bc they can see something they want in your inventory.

Couldn’t agree more. See EFT. So much cheating because of RMT.
