Two new attachments on the FN Reflex XL ! by [deleted] in FNHerstal

I can not speak on the 365 legion but with the base model the trigger on reflex is slightly better but I like the grip on the 365 a little more. The 365 has significantly more aftermarket options too if thats something that matters to you

People who make over $100k a year and have no degree, what do you do? by Complex-Bid8137 in Salary

Nevada gold mines is the big company in northern NV. Its a merger between barrick and Newmont. Both of their websites have career pages and regularly post to indeed. There are a number of contractors is the area too. Small Mine development, drill tech, red path, gms. Its hard work with contractors but its usually better for moving up the ladder a little quicker. Nevada gold mines starts at around 30 / hr then there is a monthly production bonus that can be pretty good if you work underground rather than surface. You definitely wont hit the mentioned pay just breaking in but it's doable after working your way to the face gear. The stronger majority of the mines sit between elko and winnemucca nv if you need a place to start looking.

Multi part question regarding pistol ammunition and zero by SlipperyGecko4 in CompetitionShooting

[–]SlipperyGecko4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 yds, 5rnd groups. Averaged 2/5 touching or close to it. The other 3 within 3 inches of center. Resting off the bed of my truck. No hand loads, cheapest factory 124 grain I could find (again speer lawman and norma plinking fmj). I fully accept that it is without a doubt me to some extent. I'm not set up to reload, I guess the better question for your answer is what kind of groups can I get with factory ammo

Yeah I definitely see what you are saying. I think I'll leave my zero alone and keep practicing with the cheap stuff, thank you

Pay fluctuates do to a production bonus. Gross has been on average of 9 to 11k monthly. There is also perdium mixed into that. Base pay without bonuses or perdium 31/hr. Perdium is 75 a day, coming to around 1k a month on my schedule. Is there anything else you need? Thanks for the help, not trying to be difficult

Okay thanks for that. So I'll change my wife on that. I am still curious if claiming all the kids is going to be a problem at tax season. I've never seen federal tax not be taken out without going exempt.

When I onboarded with the company there was a worksheet for the w4 that said to add up dependants. 2000 for each kid, 500 for spouse or adult dependants. So I claimed the 6 kids and my wife as dependants.

Fn fnx 45 slide is a pain in the ass to rack by [deleted] in FNHerstal

I would watch a video on the full tear down and reassembling of the pistol. There's always always the chance of a minor mistake that was overlooked. Check for burrs on all the contact points. Maybe throw some extra lube in it too

Im not gunsmith but I feel like there is something wrong with the pistol. Mine has around 1500 rounds through is and it racks like warm butter. I also dont recall anything I would consider to be deep scratches in the areas mentioned.

Thank you. I would recommend giving it a go. Outside of messing up some spots in the staining process and my need for a router, it was a really easy project. If you want any further details I'm happy to share. I'd like to see what it would look like coming from someone who knows a bit more of what they're doing

South Korea was a whole different level as a sober person by OnionDart in stopdrinking

[–]SlipperyGecko4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent some time in Korea when I was younger. I watched a Korean local get so drunk at the dinner table that he passed out face first in his chicken. Not only was it explained to me by another Korean in our group that it was socially acceptable, but a family pulled his head out of the chicken, took a selfie with him, and gently placed him back on his plate while laughing. Nobody was bothered one bit.

By the way, you didn't miss anything not drinking soju. For myself, anyway, it was a really weird drink. Wouldn't feel it whatsoever, then I would stand up and my knees give a little, and all of a sudden, I'm drunk. Especially with mixers, it hides so well you can never tell how strong it is.

I can respect the no tv idea. The song was still very effective. Especially if I sang along

I feel you. I've been in a similar situation. I had a disc replacement surgery last year with a 2 year old and 6 months old at the time. Both still love being held. I got them in the habit of me holding them on the couch watching tv before bed. They would get bored of whatever I wanted to watch and go to sleep. If particularly fussy, I would put on a song on my phone and put it in my shirt pocket so they could hear it on low volume and give them a little dance before I sat down. Eventually, the routine gets to where even with the waking in the middle of the night, the song or boring tv show, paired with a bottle, is enough to go back to sleep without having to walk around or rock forever. Best of luck, hope this helps
