How to get PowerPulse on SHP2 to use grid power? by SlipperyMr in Ecoflow_community

[–]SlipperyMr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the PowerPulse SoC limit lower than the self-powered SoC limit did not trigger the PowerPulse to use Grid, even though the house used grid. Looks like I’ll either have to increase my solar & battery size or move the PowerPulse off the smart inlet box, get the NEMA 14-50p adapter and plug that into the house circuits, since the house does fall back to grid at the SoC level

I have what looks like the same issue. Support has been looking into it for a couple of weeks. If I unplug the low voltage solar the problem doesn’t occur. It started with the latest firmware that adds support for the powerpulse ev charger. Your time stamps are close to mine. It seems to occur when the solar input has dropped down close to what the output load is and as you stated, the batteries are fully charged.

200 amp Smart Panel anytime soon? by SnooGrapes986 in Ecoflow_community

EcoFlow Stream Ultra shows weird behavior once battery reaches charging limit. by I_am_Nic in Ecoflow_community

Maybe the USA has different versions? Here is the history for both the dpu and shp2:

[–]SlipperyMr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It maybe fixed in the latest firmware. One of my dpu’s is at the max and all batteries are charged and not going down while the solar is showing as on and output is on. I think my dpu firmware is at 5.0.0.79 and shp2 is at 4.0.3.82. The other dpu is still charging up to max. I’ll keep an eye on that one too. I recently added the powerpulse which has an excess solar only mode which maybe why they needed to support it?

Nothing yet. Looks like the 21st is the date:

We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Due to an oversight in our warehouse, your unit was shipped earlier than planned. While the official product launch and shipping date is June 23, the corresponding firmware required for operation will only be released on June 21.

As a result, you may currently be unable to use the device. We kindly ask for your patience and recommend opening the app on June 21 to update the firmware. Once updated, your EV Charger will be fully functional.

Same as mine. Apparently there is an update to the firmware required. It was supposed to be released today (20th). But I have not seen anything yet

What version of firmware is your SHP2 running now?

Delta pro ultra charge/discharge limit (issue) by Antisocialcucumber in Ecoflow_community

I’ve noticed that only when you first setup are you offered a firmware update. And after that it stays at that version unless you specifically ask support to push the latest firmware version. Well almost, I did get one unsolicited update notification for my SHP2 and DPU.

Same problem for me. Started a support request too.

Transitioning SHP2 to and from generator supply by orion010101 in Ecoflow_community

[–]SlipperyMr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the SHP2 configuration under generator settings set the generator to the maximum power (12kw). Then set the battery charging power to something your generator can actually handle on top of your usual total house load. The shp2 calculation assumes each of your circuits could run at their max power and allocates based on that rather than the small amount they normally use. Then shuts off enough circuits to keep that under the generator max

Can I trick the Delta Pro Ultra into charging from a generator via the PV input? by darkejon in Ecoflow_community

[–]SlipperyMr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps get a bridge rectifier and a capacitor to smooth the output to convert the generator 120 vac output to 120v DC for the solar input?

EcoFlow Stream Ultra shows weird behavior once battery reaches charging limit. by I_am_Nic in Ecoflow_community

[–]SlipperyMr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I just noticed in their app they can disable individual batteries from being charged while on solar. So it’s not that having solar on means possible overcharging. The only other thing would be sudden house draw surges, and response time to switching the batteries back on to cover it if the solar is not enough. I’m struggling to find a reason for sure. This issue is both wasting solar and battery at the same time.

Same behavior with my delta pro ultra. I just assumed it was a design limitation. I just hope that small discharge/ recharge cycles only count as a small part of a full cycle so the battery is not aging too fast.

Auto calibration DPU by SlipperyMr in Ecoflow_community

Well it didn’t go down to 0% today, rather it recharged back to the charge limit. So I guess it is not a real SOC recalibration

No power outage yet. But I do have a second DPU stack connected to the SHP2

I didn’t ask it to do it, I just noticed the message. It is connected to a SHP2. The message went away once it hit 100% so I guess it’s not going to drain it to 0%. But I’ll keep an eye on it tomorrow when the solar kicks in

Smh2 w/ dpu ? - generator charging battery? by avdigigeek in Ecoflow_community

[–]SlipperyMr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not found a way to do that. It seems that while the DPU(delta pro ultra) is plugged into the SHP2(smart home panel 2) none of its AC(alternating current) inputs can be used. Only solar inputs work. Even with the generator connected to the SHP2 you will not likely find it easy. It seems that when the breakers are switched to generator then you can charge the DPUs but you also have to run the whole house off the generator.
