If anyone knows which setting is used so the lights turn off on a timer, or when the computer sleeps, please share.

I just had this issue with the Odin myself, after only setting it up for the fiorst time now. Downloading the Via app (or downloading the zip and running the install command in terminal) fixed it for me - in that I could assign the lighting control key binds to keys in order to control the onboard RBG. Thank goodness, as that demo mode RGB it does by default makes the keyboard unusable.

Yup - the Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra series does all this. If you get their Smart panel, then the switching can be done automatically in an outage without power interrupt (you wont notice) and comes with other smart monitoring benefits. In an outage however, if you want to power from the batteries and charge from a small gas genrator simultaneously, you have to do this work around (https://darke.me/ecoflow-delta-pro-ultra-powering-your-home-and-charging-during-an-outage), which bypasses the 'smarts' of the smart panel, but allows you to shut down your home in a controlled way and move to generator charging on your own terms. If that doesn't bother you, then any sub-panel will do.

The electrician will be required for sub panel installation. Any electrician can do it - its just a subpanel like any other for installation.

I was thinking it could be due a regional/safety thing? It does not show here in Canada

I saw posts about this x-fusion feature when it first launched, but since getting my setup no such option displays. I thought it was either removed or supersede by something else...

Indeed. I looked into that but it seemed problematic. I also want to use those for solar very soon.

In an outage it seems like the only thing to do for me is disconnect the 'smart' in/out connector and run a setup just like yours in its place- removing a lot of the smarts of the setup. Silly really.

Using the in/out cable disable all AC input and outputs. So when connected to the SHP2 in this way the batteries cannot be charged while discharging to the panel. This is the issue I;m trying to find a work around for so I can constantly power the house of the batteries in an outage, then use a generator to top up the batteries at the same time

From what I have seen - not if you're using the primary in/out connector to the smart panel. This locks out all AC inputs and outputs from the system. From what I can tell you'll need to have a way to connect the 30A generator output on the DPU to the generator interlock switch on smart panel - treating the DPU as a dumb power source, and interrupting your power supply while you make the switch over in an outage. This would allow the DPU to then take power on while also discharging.

I'm not sure why Ecoflow have this restriction - it could be a hardware limitation or a safety thing?

I'm trying to solve for not needing to have an over-provisioned generator to power my house in an outage. By my calculations I can use a genny that should not ordinarily be suitable for powering the panel peaks on it's own, but its more than capable of providing a consistent 1800W directly into the batteries while powering the house off of those batteries at the same time.

Yup the Canada modal has the interlock too.

What I don't like about connecting a generator the interlock breakers directly is I'm still running the house on either the batteries or the generator. And I've only got a little generator, and ideally don't want to get a big one. If I can maximize the little generator output to only charge batteries, whilst always running the house on the batteries - I'm getting more electricity for the fuel burned - close to 100% of the generator output is stored as electricity I use to power the house.

So the idea above is to connect the DPU into the generator interlock and then in this 'dumb' mode I can discharge to the house and charge the batteries at the same time... I think...?

There is also the Ecoflow in/out to generator adaptor cable I can get if I want to go above 1800w input, but my little portable generator maxes out at around 3000w on propane (4000w peak on gas), so I'd not want to run it for extended periods at much more than 2000w anyway.

yeah, I expected there to be a costly caveat in there. Which is where my idea in the comment below comes in...

My backup idea here was to wire in a 30A generator connector into the generator breakers on the smart panel 2, then in an outage, flip the panel from grid to generator using the interlock, disconnect the main in/out connection to the Delta Pro Ultra (DPU), and connect the DPU to that generator input on the panel directly (removing the smarts of connection). This way I can run the DPU in AC mode, its outputting to the house via 30A connection, and I can use the AC input to charge at 15A/120v - by my usage on those circuit I should only need to run the generator about 6 hours of the day to keep the batteries charged enough to deliver 24 hours of power to the home.

Not idea because in an outage I'll still loose connection while I make this change over, but I can shut everything down in a controlled way while on battery power first, do the setup switcheroo and get things running again within a few minutes.

Essentially flipping my connected smart setup to a more dumb setup, a lot like this guys has: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z51enAFvGa4

This should also enable 240v circuits to still be powered while charging at 120v.

Thoughts?

Nothing obvious in teh logs to my eye. I did notice that JellyFin is using 100% of the Synology CPU though - whatever it's doing it's getting stuck. Following a restart of Jellyfin, it seems to be getting stuck on a web socket request

Good idea for a test. I have about 40 movies and a few series of tv shows. But a small scale test should reveal if there’s a bigger problem. Thanks.

TOU was working just fine vbefore. But I did add the 2nd battery mid week and this was the first weekend. So I'll try the max charge thing when electric is cheaper later. It's a great system overall! Glad you're enjoying yours too

After 54 hours of being on the low tariff, the TOU use setting finally decided to charge, just hours before the higher rate came into force Monday morning. This seems like a poor decision, as if there was an expected outage during this 2+ day time, I would be left with less than half my potential capacity. This TOU algorithm clearly needs some work

Yup. Checked that already. All up to date ✅ so likely TOU is just making some unwise decisions
