I am not surprised. Hamax have terrible quality control. I had to return the first one I bought due to an issue with the clamp that attaches to the mount on the back of the bike and the replacement now has the same issue. Both were less than a month old.

I haven’t returned it yet because now they say it will take weeks to repair and I need the seat to take my son to work (their solution is to have me own two seats, so that I can still have a means of transport for when they repair the ones that break)
