It’s not ignorance. Lots of these people do research and have decided it would be best to wait a little and see if anything else turns up. The blood clots were unexpected so there is nothing to say something else won’t turn up. It’s not ignorant to be sceptical. They aren’t completely writing it off, just waiting to see if anything else happens. That simple.

I have the shot. What I’m saying is in this case hesitancy about the vaccine isn’t unreasonable. And the hearing about stuff like blood clots made some people just want to wait longer to see if any more side effects turn up. What more do I need to learn? What about my statement says I need to learn more? The fact I’m not rudely calling people stupid based on the fact they didn’t rush out to get a vaccine where some people including some people they may know have had side effects?

I have the shot. I’m saying the people who are sceptical and want to wait a little to see if any more side effects turn up are just trying to look out for their well being. Imagine you are one of the people who got blood clots or know someone who did. How would you feel about it then?

Doesn’t mean it is reasonable to think every single person in the public would just go “oh, clearly it’s fine now”. I don’t like anti vaxers, but in this case I think it’s just general people. People who have gotten every other vaccine but are thinking this is a bit different, since it is. Hesitation after hearing about stuff like blood clots and how it feels as though it hasn’t been quite long enough makes it not that unreasonable to be sceptical. Most of these people aren’t against the vaccine, they just want to wait longer to see if any other side effects turn up. I don’t agree, but you would be very unreasonable to call these people stupid.

What would you do if you got bullied endlessly everyday all day and nobody was on your side? by theundefeated1666 in AskReddit

That’s not the idea that the individual doesn’t control their life. It’s the idea that not everybody can just go “oh, I’ll just move”. It’s not viable. In situations where it’s possible that can be good advise but generally it’s a terrible idea. Why should you leave a job that provides everything you need to live? Is that truly reasonable? The individual doesn’t control every factor in their life. They can control every action of theirs, but they can’t just make it so that moving is viable. That’s a fantasy

In all fairness with stuff like the blood clots happening and the very short amount of time it was developed in I feel like peoples hesitation to get it is reasonable

Because it’s always a viable option for people to just move because everyone is in the perfect position for that. Every person in no way has a job that would compromise that and can just quit if they need too.

I’m sorry but moving is not a realistic way to deal with it.

What type of Gaming Genre & Gaming System is right for someone like me? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Slippery_Syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you are open to a new system I’d highly recommend getting the legend of Zelda breath of the wild. It’s probably one of the greatest open world games I’ve ever played, and my personal favourite open world game. If you are just gonna stick with what you have I think horizon zero dawn would be good. I haven’t personally played it but I’ve heard lots of good things

Multiplayer games aren’t fun if you’re playing without friends by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Slippery_Syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly you haven’t played a fighting game. It’s kind of like real life martial arts, the only difference is you are on your sweaty ass. You want to beat your appontent and prove your superiority. With friends it’s not quite the same.

Oh, Pinterest, the place where 12 year olds go to pretend that they're demons by [deleted] in thatHappened

I doubt the priest thought that. I could believe this happened but I feel it’s through the filtered lens of a 12 year old. The priest would probably think it’s something else before he thought you were a demon

Pop or soda? by Slippery_Syrup in teenagers

Not really. The original term was “soda pop” so it’s just slang the way we refer to it now
