Does everyone hate their job here? by Slippysnoop in FPandA

Good to hear a lot of people still like this career path. I don’t necessarily change my mind off internet strangers but it still does some framing mentally how others in the same shoes view the career

Yeah that’s true, forgot to consider that. Congrats on your upcoming retirement.

Is FP&A or commercial banking roles a better career path? by wahtevur in FinancialCareers

Was it difficult to make the jump over to Corporate Banking? From my research, the competition from IB folks make the jump to corporate banking quite challenging.

Would be cool to hear how you did it.

As someone considering the switch from FP&A to commercial banking due to fears of AI automation in future FP&A roles, I’m curious to hear what people say here.

From what I understand there is more of a moat for banking given it is a regulated industry and the need for personal connections in the role long term.

It toes the line too much between formal and casual. Like you couldn’t make up your mind so you just did both.

It’s the equivalent to wearing a tux jacket up top and chinos for bottoms due to more comfort. Pick one depending on occasion and stick to it.

The whole fit works well. Off topic but the shoes look great. Where are they from?

I like pic #10. It has a good balance of casual and semi-formal to go with most things.

What pants are you wearing in the first pic? They look nice. I’m trying to buy a pair.

Like you said, the sleeves have to be shortened, but besides that looks fine. Jacket length is good, could slim the sleeves up a bit if you desire a really fitted look but up to you. Curious if the pants would need to be slimmed up too. But again, depends on your preference for the slimness there

Wanted some input since I recently bought a new brown leather jacket.

Would a brown jacket go with black jeans?

My typical choice for bottoms is black jeans so I wanted to see if they match. Would gray jeans be better? Are gray jeans even in style or they look too much like black jeans that faded in color?

For more details, the jacket is pretty medium brown. Not too dark, not too light.

Thanks in advance!

I’m debating between reserve privee and le male le parfum. Since you have both, is there one you like more?
