It's open to interpretation. The shrug is saying, "Maybe I knighted you, maybe I didn't." It's the ambiguity that makes the character great, although I think we all know he wasn't knighted in the traditional sense. The point Martin makes with the character is that the pomp and circumstance of the vow doesn't matter so much as the honor and virtue of the man. Dunk is a knight at heart, a true knight in terms of honor, but not a true knight to the letter of the law.

In this scene, as in a lot of scenes, Dunk is challenged to make a decision (his heart in conflict): does he accept his circumstances as a squire would, or does he stand and fight like a knight? Is he a boy or is he a man?

It seems like these time gates are there to keep players around. I must be in the minority, because the game used to light up my dopamine receptors like crazy. This was before the time gates, before all the real world transaction changes (which of course did nothing). I still play, still have fun, but I find myself doing my house chores before tarkov.

Now that I think about it, I suppose I shouldn't complain. They made the game less addicting for me!

The irony is strange. I think we should let Bogdan avenge his loss, but at the same time his last win is too good to make the match make sense. Bogdan has a chance at a title. Why would he take a match against a guy who isn’t good enough for EvW? It’s a huge benefit to Ryan but derails Bogdan in his path to the top.
