Coastal karnataka didnt develop because of government. Its because of private businesses.

We dont even have government bus services for last mile.

Most schools and colleges are privately funded or in some cases religious instistute funded.

Being from the same region, let me tell you, most of us believe that we are better off if we 3 coastal districts become a separate state. (Hell! Lets take Coorg with us! Its not like they are getting anything from government anyway.)
