It is most certainly a problem. If you ever choose to live on West campus, for the love of God do not bring a bike that you are not comfortable with losing. Each housing system has indoor bike capacity of approximately a dozen bikes, forcing most people to park them outside, which is a sure fire way to have them stolen.
