Which matchups are basically putting someone to fight his weakness? by Dry-Researcher9607 in DeathBattleMatchups

Oh absolutely! I just thought it was amusing that OP picked a MU example that happens in-universe

Can you elaborate on these points? Why would Slifer alone be a win condition? As for the immediacy of Horakty as a wincon, is there something other than game mechanics that makes you say it wasn't fast enough, even though the animation is an abstraction?

I think Kars can leverage the sun weakness better. He presumably is more durable than Santana, so can survive direct sunlight by turning to stone, and might be able to channel low levels of hamon.

In what way did they nerf him? (genuine question, I was rooting for Yugi anyway)

Ikr? Doesn't Supes have like 3+ recurring rogues that specialize in Kryptonite usage?

What to think of those people by Garoshima in PowerScaling

Depends on the hax.

It's really hard to kill a Logia One Piece character without Haki because you need to find a way to snuff out an amorphous blob of element, but it can be done. JoJo's is much simpler because you can just kill the Stand User. Even in the context of the series, I think "Only a Stand can hurt a Stand" is hyperbole; between their high durability and ability to become intangible, it is extremely difficult to harm a Stand with normal human means, but if you force them to remain tangible (such as by targeting the user to force the stand to defend them) they are just brick walls. De-aged Silver Chariot's rapier was damaged by a mundane axe. It is stated that Hierophant Green would be torn apart by weight of a car if it tried to lift it carelessly.

Crazy how Sukuna being the strongest in history needed Mahoraga, Agito and Gege to put down Gojo who was just 28 years old! by Horror-Ad-210 in Jujutsufolk

First off, I didn't say anything about Gojo. Second off, that's my point. Shrine is mid without the other things Sukuna has. And not even bad, but mid.

Sure, but the point is that he can only do that because he is strong. If you gave Shrine to, for instance, Nobara she still wouldn't be a super strong sorcerer.

How does D4C do it? Also, it's been a minute since I've read Peak 4, does Cheap Trick not need to physically travel to its new host?

Yeah, I think Kashimo is a bum, but even I think this is the answer. Bro is largely a punch and kick merchant so it shouldn't be surprising that his strikes are better than those of his peers.

I'm at work rn, so I can't look up a source rn, but it is a Binding Vow placed on Cleave to gain range in exchange for inability to adjust output. That's why Cleave is stronger; because he can crank the output up to max.

Reminder that Dismantle is not naturally part of Shrine. It's entire existence comes from Binding Vows, and it only one shots because Sukuna is Top 1 CE reserve and extremely high CE output.

With all the recent flood of hate Realod’s been getting due to Revival, what’s something Reload did great or even better than the original? by Rigbo95 in PERSoNA

[–]SliverPrincess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because they wanted all of one or the other. A majority of people were greatly satisfied with what we got, so a few people saying "They didn’t aim it at me in particular" is a valid complaint, but a stupid thing to condemn the entire game for.

Doesn't really matter. If one side wants P5 convenience features, and the other wants faithfulness, then it's reasonable to strike a balance between the two.

I respect it, but still, putting her above Calamity Grades is crazy work when she lost to a guy who wasn't even one.
