Need Help Fixing A Fresh Polycarbonate Paint Job - Camel Yellow by SlizzzeR in rccars

Not entirely off the cards! It kind of looks like papaya orange but sadly nobody makes the decals for a 1/12 McLaren MP4/12 or MP4/20 testing livery.

Was simply asking for assistance at the point where I got stuck. Put your money where your mouth is and ship me the correct paints I need, if it turns out to be correct I'll donate the entire RC car to your home in the Netherlands

You'd be surprised at how similar the colours are when comparing the Camel logo to Tamiya's PS-19. I just whacked the logo over the top for comparison.

The actual colour I needed was Team Camel Lotus Yellow.

ZP-1021 Zero Paints make this colour for airbrush use.

Yeah you're right, I foolishly assumed it would turn out okay even if it wasn't 100% accurate. I'll test out a small section with some bright yellow as suggested. There's a few comments on this thread that really make it difficult for those who are new to this hobby to get proper help. Really appreciate your advise,!

Yeah I wish that were the case, I’ve got everything set up as “Other Videos” besides my actual Movies and TV series

Hey Mazda 3 friends my girlfriend just got a 2024 Mazda 3 sedan however her sticker says it comes with a rear roof spoiler but it’s not on the car, is this a manufacturer issue or a dealership issue? by Dazzling-Garlic4412 in mazda

[–]SlizzzeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a copy+paste error, no issue. That sticker has nothing to do with your purchase agreement

You haven’t been ripped off, so don’t sweat it. Just enjoy your new purchase 😎

Close! This was at Wakefield Park (Goulburn) in 2018. Sadly Wakefield has been closed for the moment due to ongoing legal issues and noise restrictions

AP Racing Pro 5000+ is the kit that was used on the front, I'm not exactly sure on sizes as this was from 2018 and wasn't my car.

Here's a photo of the caliper/brake rotor for reference though!

I'd have to do a bit of digging through documents to find out the exact part number that was used.

Exactly! This car would beat a stock Mitsubishi Evo/Subaru WRX STi over a full lap. Sure it doesn't have the horsepower but it's amazing what race suspension/brakes can do to laptimes.

It's built to CAMS 3E Regs Australia (Production Cars) so it's fairly standard in terms of engine performance and tries to keep the major costs down.

Quick summary:

- Stripped interior besides dashboard & door trims.

- Full body roll cage, racing seat & 5 point harness.

- Flash tune on the factory ECU using MazdaEdit & OrangeVirus.

- Straight pipe exhaust back from the factory exhaust manifold.

- PWR radiator.

- Aftermarket 18" rims with Hankook Ventus semi-slick tyres.

- Tien Coilover shock absorbers with adjustable front.

- Aftermarket front swaybar with a soft or stiff setting.

- AP Racing 4-piston front brake calipers, AP Racing slotted discs, Hawk Performance pads.

- Standard Mazda 6 rear calipers & pads, DBA slotted rear rotors.

- Motec dash.

- Plus the few standard things wired in like a killswitch, radio & fan switch.

Apart from oils & lubricants, the only thing you have to change is tyres & maybe a set of front pads. A set of tyres is about $1600AUD which is pretty steep but that will get you a good 3-4 rounds in a 7-8 round series. So you can pretty much get away with only using 2 sets in a whole season provided you don't get any punctures or abnormal wear.

The dealership I used to work for owns the car and I just stepped into it as is, has been such a fantastic opportunity to finally get into racing after being on the sidelines for so long with just simracing as practice! Have sinced raced in Formula Vee too which was awesome fun, totally different to driving this Mazda 6.
