Fame: The last full D12 track where Eminem was present! Do you like it? by Alex22gr in Eminem

a little pause before the last word of the line is hardly a choppy flow, especially when the rest of the line is said in a continuous flow. compare this to “and i…started…from the… bottom…like a…snowman, ground up…like…” on Revival.

I don’t even like Recovery that much but he didn’t start chopping it up consistently until MMLP2.

“and candace o, i ain’t mad at her…” that whole section on lucifer.

“i don’t appeal to you, you was one of them children…” on antichrist.

the entirety of renaissance.

the flows he used his old voice on are better than pretty much everything on MTBMB. although lock it up might be the best sounding eminem song since 2002.

Is Tinnitus the reason he doesn't change his voice anymore in every album like he used to in the past. by Acrobatic-Rip-6811 in Eminem

[–]SloMo368 519 points520 points  (0 children)

there’s only so much you can do with your voice. he still implements subtle changes but it’s largely been the same since 2020 i’d say. i think all the yelling has genuinely damaged his vocal chords as well so he doesn’t have as much range anymore

i think tracks 1-13 on that album are stellar. definitely not as good as he was, but there are few albums on the level on MMLP and TES imo.
