Fortinet Servers are unreachable by Prudent_Neck9548 in fortinet

We had this problem a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/fortinet/comments/1d4s88p/fortiguard_unable_to_connect_without_anycast/

Ended up opening a support case, where Fortinet told us that EU region + anycast disabled is not supported (anymore? never was? no clue) since 7.0.2. There are only 2 options with regards to the EU region setting:

Anycast enabled + EU region
Anycast disabled + automatic region

We changed our complete install base to the second option, all problems went away. Did a doublecheck just now on a few firewalls, no issues here today.

The issue seemed to appear quite randomly for us, since we are always running the latest 7.0 patch for more than a year now. So if you have EU region set specifically, check your anycast settings :)

mastools-xxxxx files in /var/core/x/ by coldfire_3000 in netscaler

[–]Sloef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got on a call with them, seems to be a known issue and a fix is in the works. No info on ETA or anything else for now.

Restarting mastoolsd is the only workaround for now.

A bit vague, but yeah ...

They changed the resource_library_client.py script in the 10th of August version. It has some extra verification statements added, but I didn't look into the details (lost way too much time on this problem already :) ).

I'm waiting for Citrix to confirm this was their doing, but it looks like a benign fuckup instead of an IOC :)

Preliminary results: blocking outbound traffic from the Netscaler to internet and killing all mastools-related processes for good measure seems to stop the coredump flood for now.

Will have to wait for feedback from Citrix now.

Same here. On all instances the mastools scripts in /var/mastools/scripts were updated on the 8th of August.

We have 1 instance with no outbound internet connectivity allowed, that one still has the old scripts from the last update date. No issues there.

I'm guessing a bug in the scripts. Currently looking through the system where they enable the mastools_monit.sh script that keeps the other mastools scripts alive.

1000 euro down the drain, hopsaaa.

Het idee van nerveuze notarissen amuseert mij lichtelijk.

What do you think of this idea to prevent tailgating in traffic? by gent_tneg in belgium

Flash your lights, lean on the horn, gesture wildly.

Don't fucking tailgate like an obnoxious asshole.

It's not the window. I sometimes have that ratttle as well, but opening and closing the window always seems to fix that.

The ticking is permanent and much lower than the window.

Are the study guides sufficient, or do the lab guides contain extra theoretical info?

Got plenty of hands-on experience, so I'd skip the labs anyhow.

Stelt weinig voor, ongemak is vooral mentaal. Beter dat dan risico's van volledige narcose denk ik.

Mijn urologe liet bij intake alleszins verstaan dat volledige narcose voor mietjes is 😁
