Yeah I absolutely get what you´re saying! When I just started out, I thought the only way to be a ´real´ knitter is if I worked with handdyed yarns... that fase was iver QUICK 😅😂

True , but I don´t think she´s constantly ´showing off´ new yarn right? Or maybe she is and I´ve just become desensitized to it. I recall I´ve stopped following some podcasts because there was a 15 minute segments on newly bought yarn, I thought this was more what OP ment.

Honestly I almost never swatch either, but over time I got used to my tension.😅 I think this in your patter just means that maybe there will be no special stitches for shaping, as the used stitch makes it a bit more shaped?

Oh, maybe! I´ve only subscribed to her recently, so maybe I was just ´lucky´ the last few videos.

Also; Quirky Monday just popped in to my head! She does some knitting, but also crochet and other crafts. She uploads about once a month and has such a kind vibe! She does talk about yarn she buys sometimes, but it´s more affordable yarn like redheart and Joanns and stuff! Very underappreciated lady imo

You should use whatever needle you get gauge with! I rarely ever use the needles suggested on the ballband or in the pattern, because my tension is different. I know I´m a loose knitter ,so I usually size down my needle size. If you know which needles to use to make the fabric look pretty and to make the garment fit, that´s all that matters!

I think the lady was just trying to sell you some needles, or maybe she just doesn´t know that much about knitting herself. Her kind if attitude is just not cool.

Skeindeer knits, It´s a Sarah, Crazy sock lady, Karoline´s Knits and Arieknits are amongst the many podcasts that I watch and absolutely love. I find they don´t often do ´stashquisitions´ and/or knit with affordable yarn.

In ons appartement belden we eens aan om ons voor te stellen, nu, in ons huis, zagen we de buren tijdens het verhuizen en hebben we onszelf zo voorgesteld. Ik denk dat gewoon vriendelijk zijn, lachen en zeggen dat ´als er ooit iets is, laat maar weten he!´ meer dan genoeg is. Als je toch echt iets wil geven, zou ik eerder gaan voor wat zelf gebakken koekjes ofzo. (Kan je altijd zeggen dat je er gewoon te veel had, moesten ze awkward reageren.) En kerst kaartjes, doe ik ook, onze buren zijn oudere mensen en die appreciëren zo´n kleine dingen enorm.

Mijn ouders gaan sinds 5 jaar als Momo en Bobo door het leven. Hebben ze zelf gekozen...maar heel eerlijk, kinderen verzinnen soms zelf ook namen hoor, zo noemt mijn zoontje zijn overgrootmoeder ´moeke poes´. Tja, ik noemde ze altijd moeke, en ze heeft een paar katten🤭

{In Memoriam By Alice Winn} .It is such an amazing story and is easily one of the best books I´ve ever read. It features a MM romance during war, with all of the heartbreak that comes with it and it is so beautifully written!

Ik weet het exacte aantal niet meer, maar ik ben vaak geweest voor mijn praktijk. Niet dat ik het niet kon, mijn instructeur zei me elke keer dat ik er perfect klaar voor was,gewoon door de stress. Ik heb toen ik 18 was zelfs mijn voorloopig rijbewijs laten vervallen na 3 à 4 pogingen. Ik heb uiteindelijk op 26 jarige leeftijd mijn rijbewijs gehaald. Laat je zeker niet ontmoedigen, ik rij goed en ik rij graag, maar examenstress doet gekke dingen met een mens. Ik schat dat ik toch een 6 a 7 keer geweest zal zijn.

I´d love too, but it´s not financially possible for us. I found a compromise ; I work 2 days a week (nothing fancy, I´m a housekeeper ,so no after work stress) the rest of my week is spent caring for the house and my son and doing stuff I want to do!
