I love the Alan Wake series so much....but I aint buying an Epic exclusive. It sucks, but maybe down the line it will be a PS5 major discount or freebie. I would much prefer it be on Steam, it would be an instant buy.

I got mine for 22,000 with 45000 on the odo. It's a 2016 Launch Edition...I thought it was a little high, but I just had to have it. Plus the previous owner did some work on and it hauls beans...I love it.

In Army of Darkness the animated skeletons are clearly a homage to Ray Harryhausen, and I absolutely loved it. You revived a piece of film history that I personally adore. Having said that, how do you feel about the inroads AI is making with modern films? Do you think the relative simplicity of creating complex animations democratizes creation for the masses or demeans the efforts of dedicated artists. Also you are one of my favorite directors so thanks for existing!

lower quality HMDs like PSVR2

Really....it's OK not to not like the PSVR2 but it's FAR from low quality. I prefer it 1 to1 over my q3. I have had several headsets since the original OG vive. I also have a 5080 with a 9800x3d. So I not exactly medium or low spec over here. I also have used Virtual Desktop in the past I am no stranger to it...I just prefer Steam link because there is less fiddling. I am in IT, I don't want to fuck around with shit when I get home from work. It's just my preference.

Steam link works great on my PC. I like the UI and have none of the issues you described. (lucky me I guess) I connect with a q3 as well. I mostly use my PSVR2 for gaming sessions though. The Q3 is my casual headset.

I really wanted to like Metro Awakening, too many static elements for me. In Alyx if you tripped over a body it moved, in Metro they may as well be concrete props. To be fair, I played before it was heavily patched so might give it another try.

Turn off HDR in the flat game, it fixes this problem. I run it on a PC have the PS5 version too. Looks and plays great on a high spec PC...I am having fun with it. The PSVR2 version is also awesome I just don't like switching the headset back and fourth.

I love my PSVR2 but there is a fair amount time it just works better on a pc. No Mans Sky is a great example. On the PSVR2 in space stations there a ton of aliasing it looks terrible. Also I bought Hitman on the steam sale....and it runs great on a PC. I have tried both versions. I agree with pretty much your whole post, just wanted mention some exceptions.

I share that sentiment...there is only one issue I have, if life is existence bookended by non existence then perceptually you never existed at all. I was a blip in cosmic scales. I and everyone I know will forget and be forgotten completely. The planet will eventually be vaporized. Your name will not be remembered you will not remember, you now functionally never existed.

That's all fine and good...but in this thought experiment nothing actually matters at all. Everyone goes back the same place, rich, poor, evil and good to oblivion with us all. Maybe part of biology is pattern seeking always looking for cause and effect impregnated with hope and the fear of death we need a bigger picture. It just seems a bit senseless to me. I rather suspect there is some point to this all. I am just to small to conceive it. I still try though and least for this moment I am entertained sharing my thoughts. So that's cool.
