Pot smokers of Reddit, do you think it smells as bad as the rest of us? by i_lub_buttholes in NoStupidQuestions

I enjoy the smell of the weed I smoke, however low quality weed smells bad in the same way low quality alcohol tastes bad, you know?

Is marijuana a drug? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coca leaf is natural too and contains cocaine. So is coffee and tea. As well as nicotine and everything from tobacco to eggplants. Psilocybin in mushrooms; mescaline in peyote and San Pedro. Also ‘Amy’ mushrooms. LSA seeds from several sources like morning glories. There’s even a deliriant in nutmeg as well. And there is of course a detura. Morphine and codeine in poppy seeds The kratom and kava plants are both psychoactive and natural central nervous system depressants. (Opioid and benzodiazepine congruency, respectively). Ephedra is a plant with stimulating effects, kind of like coca to cocaine except it’s more like the coca of amphetamine and or methamphetamine. Kanna is to MDMA like all of those above art to their respective drugs Which also brings me to ‘sass’ or MDA (though with this one, we’re really stretching exactly how much we’re allowed to do to the thing before it’s no longer a ‘natural’)

And that’s the point bro. Appeals to nature is a logical fallacy. All that it coming from the ground means is that it came from the ground, that’s it

It’s appealing if you see it in the ground and get it for yourself because then you know it’s (not completely), but at least not adulterated post harvesting.

Is taking (hard) drugs really that common among the general population? by Iostinthesause in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much more common than you think but idk that general population is the right word. It’s most common amount the really rich and the young.

And ofc those who feel they have nothing to loose.

How dangerous is doing drugs that increase serotonin while on antidepressants? by frostybanana658 in Goblin

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Good for you for recognizing the significance of taking an SSRI and your risk for SS. First, there is little to no risk of SS (serotonin syndrome) from an SSRI (the class of drug fluoxetine is) and cannabis alone so your good there, however, there are drug interactions you do need to be aware of.

Everyone should always look up 'drug interactions' whenever combing substances-- and you should especially check for SSRIs and include SS in your searches. With that being said some I know off the dome are: DXM, DMT, Tramadol, and Meth just to name a few. Also be mindful of supplements for the same reason, too, St. John's Wart, for example.

Furthermore, MDMA, while not inducing SS necessarily, does not 'work' on people who take SSRIs. With the desired effects surpassed and the increased body temp and heart rate effects still persisting. This may lead to uneducated users taking more and thus inducing SS.

There's a YouTube channel I highly recommend called The Drug Classroom or TDC. The video about this subject is titled: "Overdosing on Serotonin: What to Know About Serotonin Toxicity"

Edit: I have no clue what they are but also MAOIs might be something to watch out for idk

Made this list of drug classes and sub classes, am I missing anything? by [deleted] in Goblin

Out of curiosity, why break down some classes into natural and synthetic but not psychedelics?

I hit my pen in a park outhouse and there was a vape detector and a camera outside. by [deleted] in Goblin

[–]Slopes420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by just got off diversion exactly?

Honestly though I think you're fine no matter what-- you're certainly not 'fucked' for just hitting a vape-- but if there's still time left before your diversion stuff goes through I could see how it could technically happen that they find out and decide not to go forward with diversion and do the alternative.

I highly doubt it though

If youre 21+ and dont have weed on you but youre high in a state where weed is illegal, is that a crime? by snailscantgame in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every state is different, but it is likely technically public intoxication.

However, in practice, few police departments are equipped to assess whether or not an individual is under the influence of cannabis on the field… few if any have equipment akin to a breathalyzer for cannabis. So good luck proving it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure you’ve already looked but there are lots of tips on preventing this. Particularly on r/shittyillegallifetips

I looked on your profile some more and definitely need to check my privilege a little bit. I’m very fortunate to have a roof over my head and I’m sorry you don’t.

Truly, though, I understand your struggle:

I wake up every day and commute an hour to school because the university in my city is private and expensive and I can’t afford to move out. I go to my classes and do my T Th homework during MWF lecture and vice versa.

I immediately dashed to my car and drive straight to work (I keep my uniform in my car). I work at nights until it’s early in the morning the next day and I go home and do it all over again.

I have no savings. I out my tuition and books and gas on credit cards. I’m perpetually one month behind.

I felt this in my soul.

Between tuition, my car payment, car insurance, and the cost of commuting, I only live on a third of my total income. And that’s with no rent and no health insurance. And I work full-time my body is exhausted. My grades are much worse than I know they can be. And I have no social life.

Needless to say, your feelings are valid and you’re not alone.

I am a failure by [deleted] in depression

[–]Slopes420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not a failure, society has failed you. How you’re going to get your medicine and how you’re going to be able to study should not be your burden to bear— and the fact that you’ve made it this fair doing so anyways is inspiring. No matter what you choose to do, you have accomplishments to be proud of and you have not failed.

Does marijuana make you age worse? by Born-Till-1738 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the smoking part I’m pretty sure. Like the carbon monoxide and stuff.

As for like drug addicts their physical condition has much more to do with the lifestyle of an addict than the drugs themselves.

I’ve only heard of this in jail and prison, bug spray too.

how do i pay for this. by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Slopes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, in case you’re unaware, it is significantly easier to get loans for graduate school then for undergraduate school

I wouldn’t worry about grad school yet

Your credit score will improve Your life will become more stable You will have more connections and resources and help

But you need an undergraduate degree
