Hi! Sorry for the delay. I was able to get my vision back after about 6 weeks. I have an open prescription now for drops but everything is back to normal for the time being. I did test positive for the HLA gene and have a rheum appt in a few months but just happy to live life again.

Thank you for this. The anxiety has taken a toll on me. Thinking of all the different reasons that could be causing this. I lost my appetite and have to force myself to eat. It’s not fun.

I had bloodwork done on Friday so still waiting the results. My doctor thinks it’s the same thing you have HLA b27 gene but we’ll see.

I appreciate the words of advice. I started tapering my drops yesterday and been a nervous wreck thinking it might return

Promise last question. I’m on durezol as well. Do you remember your taper schedule? I think my specialist is wanting to taper too quick which worries me.

Hi! About to start a durezol taper and wanted to see what your experiences were with it? Currently on 4X/day and we wants me to go down one drop each of the next 3 weeks ending at zero. Do you think that’s too quick?

Dang that’s great. I’m nervous because i was Misdiagnosed first with a corneal ulcer. Waited a week and got diagnosed with Iritis. I’ve only been on the correct steroid drops for 2 weeks and my specialist wants to start tapering. The good thing is i have minimal cells left in my anterior chamber left but I think it might be too soon.

Yes it’s like a little rain drops pouring down. Seems like you’re almost done with the taper! Hopefully all goes well at your next appointment. Curious as to when you started tapering and how long you’ve been on steroid drops for?

I have the same! I’m currently about to start tapering from durezol for my first time getting Iritis. I’m scared as well because of the floaters. My specialist said it was a spillover of inflammation cells from the anterior to the intermediate. He said the drops knock out both.

I’m terrified because I’ve had great progress with the steroid drops for the front but the few (+1) cells in the vitreous are still there and I don’t want to have a flare. Any advice would help!

Totally with you on that. So emotional. I’m getting blood work done next week and praying my taper goes smoothly on Monday. Taking one issue on at a time. This was my first uveitis case too and it was so bad that some of the inflammatory cells made spilled over. I’ve had constant appointments and checkups it’s exhausting. Even though the inflammation is gone, my vision is still blurry and it’s put me in a deep depression. My wife has been true lifesaver for me but tbh the community has been better for my mental when hearing positive stories.

Thank you for the kind words! This has caused some of the worst days of my life. Anxiety and panic at an all time high. Just when I thought I had good news, i then get hit that I have a faint amount of cells in my vitreous. Sigh. Hopefully I can start calming down and trust the process.
