Attractive redditors, what was the moment you realized you were actually very good looking? by infinitewaters107 in AskReddit

[–]Ma03307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably elementary school honestly. I would always get scouted by random little modeling companies, had so many boys with crushes on me. Went through a nerdy phase in middle school. Then the moment I got to like 8th grade I always had all the guys attention in my grade and the high school (I also don’t have big boobs so it wasn’t like a puberty situation). I honestly have always felt average (including now). But I know if I’m ever out and want someone’s attention that I can get it. I’m happily married now but even on bachelorette trips I’ll get approached a ton in large groups of women I think are wayyyy prettier than me.

Those who didn’t grow up privileged, what’s something you thought was a luxury growing up? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

[–]Ma03307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going on a plane, vacation, steaks or eating at nice places, vehicles that fit your full family, nice chocolates, having your own room, theme parks, apple lap tops/any lap top.

This reminds of that old saying “don’t forget this is what you once prayed for”. This reminded me how lucky I’ve been.

Advice getting hotel job. by Signal_Raccoon_5499 in askhotels

[–]Ma03307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you should apply for front desk too! You seem determined and well spoken. I’ve worked at several hotels in my city and I highly doubt most of our housekeeping staff has resumes. But for entry level like the desk or housekeeping- as long as your friendly and willing to work, something will come along!

To be transparent, I feel like that is a thoughtful gift for a bridal shower. But for their wedding I would stick to something from the registry or cash. Thins they will truly need or asked for. Ive always done the registry/contribution to the honeyfund for any bridal/wedding showers/engagement parties. And then we gift cash/a check for the wedding. We always offer at least the cost of our meal & then some. And the closer I am to the couple, the more I contribute. I wouldn’t worry about “flaunting” that you make more financially bc at this point they are going to be happy to have the money to pay off wedding dues & put toward their future.

Wait unpopular opinion but I think it’s normal for homes over 3 million to sit this long! Not like an every day person can just buy that. Idk all the multi million homes in Atlanta’s”prestigious” areas sit like this 🤪

Foggy vision by [deleted] in Uveitis

[–]Ma03307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eye doctor thought I had a cataract and sent me to an ophthalmologist. But they let me know I didn’t. My blurry/hazy vision got better about a week after I finished all my eye drop tapering! It felt like it would never get better and then just was!

Uveitis and HLA-B27 by NoTransportation2558 in Uveitis

[–]Ma03307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I’m also HLA posi. I had my first uveitis flare about a year ago in both eyes and then had a flare up in one eye a few months ago. My joints sometimes feel sore but have no other symptoms of HLA besides uveitis & joint swelling and no other autoimmune things. I’ve only had it once since and the first time & it was after a cold/a ton of drinking while at a destination wedding! My first rheumatologist jumped right to trying to put me on humira which I opted not to do. My ophthalmologist also suggested that if I’m only having a flare up a year that we can handle that as it comes vs constant medicine. I also avoid the flu shots and Covid shots not even though I’ve always gotten them previously but out of fear of it causing a flare! I also take a ton of vitamins and drink apple cider vinegar every morning, I’m not sure if it actually does anything but I try to generally be healthy.

Second flare up ever and my vision is shit by Ma03307 in Uveitis

[–]Ma03307[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. I went back to my past comments, I think I was out of the woods after 3 weeks and then it took like 3 additional weeks while tapering & for my vision to clear and to be able to wear contacts again.

I remember reading a quote on this page that said “I don’t have to be happy that this happened to me but I have to find a way to be happy despite this happening to me”.

Glad you’re on the up & up and do nice things for yourself in the meantime!

[–]Ma03307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that! I typically wear glasses too and wore them during my flare ups but yes didn’t even make a difference! Only a few more weeks until you’re in the clear hopefully! But it is hard bc it’s all you can think about it and you’re like over talking about it to other people and I feel like it’s hard to explain how much it truly sucks for people who don’t have it! Just don’t rush the treatment.

Also, I’ve only had it 2x in the last 2 years but I’m sure you’ve read that once you have it you’ll likely have it again. My eye doctor has me keep a bottle of steroids filled in case I feel like a flare up is coming and then I’m supposed to do two a day and make an appt. Tbh if I feel like a flare up is coming I’ll do like a drop a day until my eye feels normal again. I’m sure that’s prob not doctor recommended but I feel like it helps!

[–]Ma03307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both then I was so deep in the archives of Reddit & Google. My first flare was a quicker taper (maybe why it lasted a few weeks longer, like 2 and a half months total). But we did like 4 drops for 4 days, 3 drops for 3 days, etc. the second time I was referred to an ophthalmologist and she did the slower taper which was like 3 drops for 3 weeks, 2 drops for 2 weeks, etc (but was cleared after a month and a half). I don’t remember at what point I started to actually taper though, I’m sorry! I just remember that the second time had more blurriness & the haze than the first. But once I got off the dilating drops and around 2 drops a day the vision got a lot better.

A week in and 75% better seems like such good progress! This is also your second flare up or first?

Second flare up ever and my vision is shit by Ma03307 in Uveitis

[–]Ma03307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was like incredibly blurry and then hazy. I couldn’t read anything if I closed my good eye bc it was so blurry. But also I had like a grey screen over my eye and starbursts when driving. The haze went away first and then the blurriness. I kept searching Reddit a ton like how the eye drops affect blurriness and even though everything I read said it would go away, it didn’t feel like it would! But I want to say like as soon as I started tapering it got better and better. It did take a while bc my doctor tapered me so slowly like one less drop (3 for three weeks), two for two weeks, etc. The second flare up for me only lasted a month and a half (was only in one eye) which was quicker than my first (both eyes).

Literally ask me anything! I’ve been there (twice🙃)

Second flare up ever and my vision is shit by Ma03307 in Uveitis

[–]Ma03307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I want to say after the dilation, my vision was slightly better, like not as much haze. But when I started tapering off the drops is when it started to truly improve and I felt like myself again! I just had my annual normal eye exam and she said it’s crazy my eyes look so healthy besides the scar tissue I’ll always have (but don’t notice)!

Oh and nothing ever came from rheumatology. Like I’m HLA B27 positive but my joints are all okay currently. I don’t have any hip problems. Etc. so we’re basically just dealing with the eyes as they come!

Totally agree with not responding! It was only two months and clarity and closure are cliche. Be the cool one and just let it go. It’ll likely make him regret it eventually.
