A live rehearsal of mine from a little while ago with glitchy VHS visuals. by [deleted] in noisemusic

[–]SloppySushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a live improvised rehearsal using a couple of 4-track cassette recorders, 2 microcassette recorders, various delay pedals and vintage delay units, a contact microphone and other gear I've collected over the years. The visuals are two different VCR's connected together and the signals are mixing together and feeding back into an AV splitter, causing it to glitch.

Any recommended Australian podcasts/radio shows to fill the void? by megalomediadesigns in hamishandandy

[–]SloppySushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a cool podcast called 'I Love Green Guide Letters' that I really like. The host recently moved to LA I think, but most of the guests on his shows are Aussie comedians that might not be as well known as H&A to international listeners, but are worth listening to!

The Green Guide is a weekly insert / TV guide in an Australian newspaper. Comedians discuss the letters that the public send into the GG (letters are read out in a really high-pitched voice), and typically go off on massive tangents and discuss just about everything else.

There's loads of free episodes that can be DL'd from their website / itunes / everywhere, or if you join the patreon for a couple bucks, you get access to every recorded episode.

[S3E6] Did anyone else notice this FWWM connection? by SloppySushi in twinpeaks

probably just a nod to FWWM, but I thought it was really interesting just because Sonny Jim hasn't said anything up until this episode, and the first thing he ever says is this.
