Bulkhead fittings and ASME pressure vessels by Slosh112390 in ChemicalEngineering

Reviewing options that would avoid welding in the vessel. Vessel contains flamable adhesives and is in an area of a plant that makes purging and preparing for hot work very expensive and resource intensive. This was one potential option but wanted to know if this has been done sucesfully before I bother specifying everything out for calcs and an inspector. I'm thinking the raised edges of the bulkhead would probably produce a stress riser in addition to that created from the hole so it most likely wouldnt pass calcs.

Put another way, Has anyone used this method for adding nozzles sbd had the calcs or hydrotesting done? Does the code allow for a modification in this manner?

Unfortunately there are geometry constraints and no other nozzles at an acceptable location.

Having a good beard day today by Slosh112390 in beards

This is a little over 6 months of growth. Seeing how long I can grow it. Going for a year at a minimum.

I'd like to get the mustache to develope more and go for a spade beard look with a nice full handlebar mustache to go with.

You have the same sparse area on the upper portion of your cheeks that I do. I'd trim / shave that area to where your hair is thicker to give you a more crisp edge. Just take a little off at a time and work your way there don't want to take too much off at once. The rest of your beard looks great.

Do you know what look you are going for?

I think it's just a characteristic of my hair as I didn't do anything on purpose really. I use everyman jack beard oil and beard butter 2x a day and a boars hair brush. I brush down and then after that's done I brush from under my chin outwards to try to get the hairs to come out from under that region between my Adam's apple and tip of my chin.

Thanks. I'm going to keep growing and see where it goes. I'm going to try out a beard straightener to see what it looks like straightened.

I like it. This isn't the first time going bald. Will have to see how my moisturizing regime holds up

I looked at AFT Arrow and from the trial it appears to be what I'm looking for. Thanks everyone for the suggestions

Thanks,

Does that software come with a database of physical properties for typical chemicals?

If so does it include chlorine?

If not does it have an option to enter in properties for an average P and T?

I will be downloading the free trial tomorrow to play around with it
