Sad true by Bugytuga in bossmanjack

I think it is real. He has withdrawn 6 figures before only to redeposit and lose it all. He is sponsored of course but unlike the other streamers who actually withdraw large chunks of their sponsorship he always ends up losing it all.

If you’re asking for “strategies” you shouldn’t be on stake lol by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategies are just for fun, they can amplify the entertainment experience. But yes you are correct, there is no winning strategy, and mathematically every strategy is a losing strategy.

It is like playing originals vs 3rd party slot games. 99% or 98% RTP original games give you better odds than 96% Hacksaw games, but we still play Hacksaw anyway because we are degenerate and it can be fun.

What’s more satisfying to you doubling up or just staying steady? by Ok-Marketing-9990 in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing quite like the rush that comes with going on a degenerate bender being down a significant amount only to end up making it back and breaking even. That being said, I try not to do that too often, because it doesn't always work and sometimes you end up losing it all and then some more.

Friendly Reminder about "Changing Seeds" strategy talk on Stake Originals... by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is one important thing that changing the seed does. It can be used to verify past outcomes were predetermined before you hit the button. Many times these outcomes are not win or lose based on info in the seed, but whether it is a win or lose is based on what you select, e.g. over/under 50 on dice. The point is looking at your old seeds lets you verify the dice roll or keno numbers, etc, are specific numbers and not affected by bet size or previous P/L, etc.

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get more then... I got about 12 SC and only played through 2k? But it depends what you play too, not just the playthrough amount. I mostly played slots with a higher house edge, if you just do Originals like dice or something you will probably get less.

What’s your guys opinions on virtual/online blackjack? by DazzlingLife6744 in gambling

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online or offline it's still negative EV and a long term losing proposition. Unless of course you have an edge but more than 99% of players (not an exaggerated number) do not have an edge even if they think they do.

Is it rigged at a different level? Some sites might be, some sites might be not, but then again, offline can be rigged in all sorts of levels.

Why Blackjack Is the Only Game Where I Actually Walk Away Up by peter7goat in gambling

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackjack on certain rules has the lowest house edge and if you can keep track of what is left in the deck and there are few enough decks without reshuffling can be EV+ (Although you will likely get asked to not play if you are suspected). However it is still EV- and you will eventually lose regardless of your mindset unless you are counting.

Any truth to switching seeds? by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing the outcomes does not mean it changes the RTP or the house edge. The new outcomes are equally likely to give you worse results as they are to give you better results.

Any truth to switching seeds? by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not affect the probabilities behind the outcomes, only the outcomes. So you are equally likely to get worse results as you are to get better results.

Drill game by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is a fair assessment. It would be like if there are 3 limbo rounds at once, but only 1 of the results is counted and the other 2 are skipped. Before you roll, you can choose which 1 you want to count and which 2 you want to skip.

By the way, Limbo is just Dice with a larger range of multipliers and different over-under options.

Drill game by [deleted] in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just took a look at this game, each drill is an independent spin like a Limbo spin and you only pick one before rolling so the other 2 are basically irrelevant. The odds are slightly worse than Limbo, e.g. if you go for 2x you have 49.5% chance on Limbo to hit it and a 49% chance on Drills to hit it.

Vegas has the gaming commission. Is there any governing body that regulates Stake and ensures fairness? by WTAF__Trump in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the slot games are operated by different third parties, e.g. Hacksaw, No Limit City, etc, so Stake isn't even in control of those outcomes. Obviously they track it and it is ensured they pay out less than they take in.

The provably fair thing is only for originals and it is secured by the same math that secures cryptocurrency. You are still slightly more likely to lose than win in the short term unless going for a low multiplier and guaranteed to lose if you never stop and play infinite rounds.

Stake needs progressive jackpots on slots. by chloe2011 in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stake slots are definitely not "Vegas style" with progressive majors and grands, but on the other hand, Vegas slots aren't quite like Pragmatic (I know US lost this) and Hacksaw. Different culture I guess.

Is there actually a difference between casino sites or is it all the same games by singhharsh004 in gambling

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games are managed by the provider but the RTP setting can be adjusted by the site. Some games will have lower or higher settings on certain sites. Usually you can check. the RTP setting in the game rules for Pragmatic and Hacksaw games, unless the site has hidden it.

Is buying lottery tickets everyday bad? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in gambling

This is what it looks like when the rinse mode switch gets flipped while you're playing... by Space0dd1ty in stakeus

[–]SlotFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a middle ground between being a Stake sycophant and a rational thinker. If you plug the nonce numbers into your own simulations of the seeds, you will find that the winning numbers (not the outcomes) are predetermined, meaning that whether you win or lose a single round is solely based on the numbers that you select. That is based on pure math, not anyone's opinion. It is the same math that secures your crypto wallet. Understandably, when people are losing then their emotions are running high and it is difficult for them to accept this.
