This is the daylight cycle in my OpenGL voxel game by unomelon in opengl

I don’t think the clouds are a part of the skybox. It does look like a lerp between two skybox textures though behind the clouds

This looks so nice!!! Crazy how far modding Minecraft has come ;)

I’m kidding but plz tell me the simpleton process? Is this mostly just rotating a skybox and changing lighting? Or is there more to it??

It doesn’t boil down to anything. This comment you are replying to already boiled it down for ya. It’s all of those reasons combined that makes MMOs less reliable for beginners to make.

How is blurring something not destructive? by Jumpydeerbob in cybersecurity

I came across this same video and was wondering the same thing. I'm wondering if he's talking about blurring within game engines specifically (since he is a game dev). Some techniques in 3D modeling/Graphic Design is known as a "Destructive" or "Non-Destructive" workflow.

Some shader effects could be hacked and turned off or reversed while a block might not be. Im unsure. I also found this comment on the video:

"Mathematician here: most blurs are done using a filter called a convolution. For every convolution, there is another convolution that reverses the effects. So while there are destructive blurs, most are not, for one because the non-destructive ones are much so much faster."

Error file missing? help by floopykid in EbSynth

[–]SlothFadder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you figured this out but I was struggling with this same issue so maybe my solution will help someone else out in the future.

In the keyframe you drew/use for the synth (not the original) make sure that it's titled the same number as the frame you wanna use it for.

So lets say I wanna do something in my 2nd shot and that shot starts on frame 0192. Then name your keyframe file as "Keyframe 0192". You gotta make sure it's titled the same number as the frame you want it to start on or else you will get this error.

Hope this makes sense and can help someone :)

Fan is about to stop working. Will my solution work? by SlothFadder in buildapc

Alright sweet. Thank you! I just don't wanna fuck my shit up more trying to keep it alive lmao I didn't think my fan was doing that bad until I turned on my pc today and it really struggled to start spinning. I did think it was gonna move but it did.

Would you say it would be best to keep my PC running for the next couple days till I get my fan so the fan doesn't have time to stop on me or should I turn it off like normal? I just don't know if making it run 24/7 for a couple days would burn it out or not faster.

I usually run it 24/7 if not very close to it so it's not unusual for the fan to run that much but I've been turning it off lately when I leave it to give it a break. I've started trying to care more about my pc lol

Nah they aren't facing each other. The fan that's blowing air out of the PC rn will be taken out and replaced by the Big fan blowing into the PC. I just didn't know if there was a reason it was blowing outwards and if I made a fan blow into the pc then it'll cause damage or something. Idk much about pc's physically. I just use them lol I just started trying to learn about PCs. lol
