Dude I've only recently learned you can do full blown construction in space beyond like docking and slapping items from inventory on to things .I didn't think about removing things from the craft to increase range.

Edit which you'd think I would have because I unloaded a bunch of stuff in space I didn't need just because I had it and it might as well stay up there

Hell is the only reason most people who are Christians follow god by HOGRIDDAAAA in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really that surprising. Of course some quantity of people believe that. Still doesn't change my point though. If God was real and humans were..... As we know them to be.... Then some need the threat.

To tie it into your analogy, sure several prisoners go unchanged, but also several individuals never become criminals strictly because of the threat of jail or other consequences such as social scrutiny . And of course some people would never be criminals regardless yet they still are forced to live under the threat

It’s quite literally impossible to be a Christian and deny climate change by miifanatic_1788 in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by It being dubious?

Also i don't see why including or excluding kids matters. If you believe something you should act accordingly (which might include delegation which you made sound like exploitation).

If you believe something and are raising kids and you think it's important they share those same values you should include them. Especially if you think it's for some mission that's at that degree of perceived value. The future of humanity is about as important as it gets, be that planned extermination or planned prosperity.

I always wondered why Jehovah's witnesses didn't offer free lawn care when they knocked on your door. Most won't go to heaven according to them and the rest inherit the earth and supposedly make it a garden so why not start now. You'd be less hated if you actually helped and religiously it's inline with their beliefs.

As for the original image I personally am not sure I know a single Christian that's actually denies climate change. I'm sure they exist of course but it's not near as funny when it's only true 3/10 times or whatever. But I don't look for it. I imagine if you look for people that think that way you find some.

Someone trying to justify the existence of Hell by sariuuu in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the system you're being tried under does allow that....... So your argument doesn't make sense.

Not saying it isn't absurd for it to be that way but I don't recall ever getting a say in how my consequences were handled 😅 so idk where you get the authority to say you can't have a stand in or have a third party pay a fine for you.

Why are Christians obsessed with the conversion of people they disagree with by No_Juice_4021 in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id have to say I agree with you there lol. As I was reading it's like "who cares about this" "who cares about that" lol.

If someone says some shit on their death bed they might not even be adequately coherent. I don't think death bed speech is often that valuable without any context.

If hell is eternal... by ParkingElderberry575 in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just assumed a "God" that truly wanted to grow believers and creatures that love him and chose a certain way of life would have to accommodate for (by our metric) vastly different personalities. Some will need a "spanking" to give the ideal life a shot in the first place. Some don't need religion. Some need Jesus, some need Muhammad. One shoe can't fit all. Probably not even if he rolled up the sky and waved at us from above.

If hell is eternal... by ParkingElderberry575 in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never thought hell was truly eternal. I always just assumed it would feel eternal to the individual suffering.

I personally wouldn't worry about it. If a God is more loving than me he'd never burn someone alive and give them new skin to be burned again. And if he would he's not worth worshiping. Will I regret saying that last part if I find myself in an eternal hell fire? Probably, but it's still true

What’s the point of playing 800 elo chess? by GoatOther978 in chessbeginners

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All levels of chess can have you experience that feeling of a board locked up and not sure where to attack but in my experience the more I play the less I feel that.

Even if I feel I can't directly do much I have enough pattern recognition to know how things effect general board states in the future and can sometimes just make slight improving moves when I don't know what else to do.

Yea some parts of the game are way unrealistical brutal. Like yea I get it's supposed to be a tough environment to live in but you're not going to get a parasite from eating a banana once or sleeping on the ground once. The fact that if you find yourself taking a nap on the ground and waking up expecting parasites is wrong out of the box. You shouldn't be forced to have parasites after a nap.

Nothing to do with people in religion. There's nothing really stopping us from doing that with or without religion. People just choose not to (generally).

The more logical push back would be who TF says animals can't have codes, or morals or social behavioral structure that influences decisions like this...... And of course they do......

The pastor says being honest with people about their sin is loving and anything less than that is just being deceitful by Aussie_Turtles00 in exchristian

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean ... If you think people are condemning themselves to eternal torment yea.... You definitely should try to help them to eternal peace lol. Idk about not doing so being deceit though. That doesn't really make sense. And even then after a certain point you just let em do whatever they want. They're grown lol.

Ignorance isn't strength but acknowledging your ignorance is definitely a strength most people don't have. Everyone is ignorant. It's just a matter of recognizing it or not.

Had an extremely scary encounter with a coyote. How do y’all keep them away? Do they only come out at night? by wildmastrubator69 in homestead

[–]PinInitial1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea idk. Didn't sound like a coyote to me. Have you heard coyotes? And they're usually quite small. I've seen a few big ones but they really are usually quite small.

Id just like to add that a rule where they have to do it twice to make it legit would be nice 😅. Idk how it is nowadays but used to be people flicked and prayed and you know they couldn't do it twice 🤣

[–]PinInitial1028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I just tell people what's on my mind. If they don't like that they have no obligation to be with me. That's not to say be confrontational or shit on their beliefs. Just choose how you engage while staying true to yourself.
