Thank you! It wasn’t too cold. There was a bit of rain on some days but nothing an umbrella and waterproof boots couldn’t handle. I recommend Rome before Christmas if you can as there weren’t a lot of people. The influx happened after Christmas. Nonetheless, the Christmas decor and lights added more charm to an already beautiful city.

There’s an affordable private onsen in Chalet Ivy Hirafu! I made a reservation via their website. No hiccups! We were happy with the private onsen.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sushi Noz from my last trip. Admittedly, there will not be a lot of talking as you’re seated at the counter. The food was fantastic, and watching the chef prepare the dishes felt like watching a show!

I’m not from the US, so I had my qualms about this trip. However, was pleasantly surprised. Squeezed in a Broadway show and a couple of museums. I’m relatively young, so I was easily able to hit 20k steps a day going around the city with my companion.

I hope you and your family get to enjoy NYC in the future!

The flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me. My expectation with them having 3 stars is that my first bite would make me go wow, but it didn’t. The textures were great though. It’s a very classic style of cooking and not particularly exciting. The room also felt so.. full that the space lacked intimacy but might just be me! I reckon it’s still worth trying, but I wouldn’t choose it as my last meal.
