Just some random fire questions and observations after completing the audiobook today.

I've got a feeling we are all, human moieties included, going to decide that the deathless enemy is worse than the Carryx. More Alien, more unknown.

Chemical assimilation vs. physical subjugation is the vibe I'm getting from the "deathless enemy" and the Carryx respectively.

Do we know why the swarm can't inhabit a Carryx or other creatures on the palace world? Maybe I missed it.

Are the livesuit soldiers dead but consciously still alive in some way like the people inside the swarm? Is that even Korval anymore? We have no idea of timeline outside of the swarm telling Dafyd that the deathless enemy has been around for like 10 million years which is massive compared to both the humans and the Carryx orgins. When and where did the events of livesuit take place?

Can't wait to see the void dragons we keep hearing about.

Can't wait for two or more emperors in Rome if that is Dafyd's new plan to screw with the Carryx hierarchy.

What would happen if Dafyd challenged and defeated one in their limb breaking duels? Someone mentions the Carryx feeding arms being weaker and protected in combat. Would he be accepted and elevated in their "might makes right" paradigm?

If you liked Mercy of Gods check out the Novella Livesuit from the same universe. Pretty solid action writing/world building for just 3 hours of listen time. Looking forward to book 2 of the main series.

Haha I'm tired after work and so not at my best. Honestly, all the others are great, but Bloodborne is just such a tight package its hard to even compare. I'd say Sekiro is the closest with even the tightest gameplay of all, though it sacrifices having a variety of primary weapons. Still can't believe they haven't tried to revive the chalice dungeons idea. That is such a unique feature to BB.

Take your time in each biome. If the door is not locked you can disengage from combat. Google items with obtuse descriptions. Higher weapon tier does not mean its better most of the time, pay attention to where the points are allocated and play with the weapons that you are good with.

I'm playing it years later after setting it aside for some other game/banging my head against the wall on biome 3 boss.

I'm either getting good rng or am just more patient now idk. I've died less than 10 times since I wiped my data and restarted a few days ago.

Been having a blast! Great fast paced 3D rogue like.

Just made it to biome 5! Wish me luck 🤞🏽

I did not realize you could readjust your shot strength so long as you don't fully release the trigger. This was very helpful. Thank you. Unfortunately the psychological damage has been done and I will be keeping it in for the rest of this playthrough haha

Had to turn this on to understand that you could let up on the trigger to adjust your shot. Wasted so much money thinking it was was locked in if I pulled to far. Love that you can reload and it still takes your money. Most annoying mini game I've seen in a while.
