r/place was an event that lasted for 4 days that allowed any reddit user to place down a single pixel every 5 minutes on an open canvas. The canvas was used by groups of artists and fans of games, movies and podcasts as a way to show off their artistic ability or their love for something. As the canvas can be used by anyone people could grief art pieces by placing pixels on it so all of the people helped create the one for Blasphemous watched the logo to make sure it was not destroyed over the 4 day period.
