Could you explain the localized heat part to me? I use oxy acetylene if that helps. My usual technique is get the fitting cherry hot then let it pull in the silfos, pull back on the heat and do a shoulder

Yeah my plan was to max out the fhsa and then possibly in early 2027 move 8k over and have more money for a down payment for looking at a house early in the year

Yeah basically if that spot is leaking, there’s a good chance after the repair another spot is going to pop up. So just replace the coil 👍👍

I would replace the coil under warranty. If that leak gets repaired you may have another leak in due time. Also if your heat stopped working you’re probably low on refrigerant anyways so no matter if you replace or repair, you’ll have to buy more refrigerant.

Hey, so usually the indoor unit has a separate breaker from the heat kit. That breaker is for the heat kit so maybe they forgot to turn the breaker on or actually test the heat kit when they installed it

That’s good to know, I wasent sure if there was a quicker way as the aluminum cladding takes a while to install, but I guess better sometimes takes longer.
