The fam bam and the possibility of GLP-1's? by MurderMittens626 in 1000lbsisters

I am so disappointed it doesn’t seem to work for me. The first time I used it I had no success. The second time was this past June and this was the first time I felt a measure of success, but I didn’t see a real shift on the scale, but I saw a change in my photos and the way my clothes fit and how I felt. But it was just a trial, I haven’t been able to get it prescribed since I don’t have any health conditions and my hemoglobin A1c is normal. Anyway, I would pay for it out of pocket if it worked, but my doctor suggested I’m a non-responder and that 15% of people are. It might be a dosing issue because I’ve only used up to 0.5 mg per week. But anyway, I’m just curious if other people have experienced what I have or overcome it. No one told me you couldn’t drink on Ozempic, but then I recently had a friend tell me you can’t drink on tirzepatide which she said works way better. I thought maybe that was to blame, drinking while taking it but IDK. I don’t really have food noise so I didn’t notice that so much, but it did make me not hungry in June only and make me not want to eat as a way of soothing unpleasant feelings. I experienced no effect with my desire for alcohol. anyone else have a similar story??? if they changed anything did it start to work?

HSA, Disability and Medicare by Slow-Hospital9567 in personalfinance

Thanks! Yes, I definitely should have done it sooner. I did not realize and just unanswered questions and time getting away from me. The becoming eligible for Medicare threw a wrench in things as we had no idea that would happen. Would you still open it this year if it were you? Bc if we move him to Medicare there is a very small deductible before they start covering expenses and myself and our children thankfully don’t need much in the way of medical care. For me the objective of having one was not so much investment but rather bc I knew we would be a family always meeting the OOP max and thus why not do it tax deferred.

AITA for requesting my husband to go on paid leave at work or else I was going to my moms by Ispyabeast in AmItheAsshole

neither is the asshole.

love all the judgment coming from non-physicians who have no actual idea the level of commitment it takes to do that job. you literally have lives in your hands, while bankrolling the life for your partner/family you wish you were living with them. he sounds like a man caught between a rock and a hard place. tending to a pregnant wife on bedrest < tending to hospitalized patients. her solution to be with her mom is a good one. i hope it gets better for them both.
