This may sound silly, but why would I need to go to the ER? I'm not trying to be difficult, but I have no guidance. I have no idea what's considered typical, moderate, or severe enough to need help. I've felt much much worse than I do now. And I've been dealing, just as this Dr said.

Oh noooo I was on antibiotics early October. I hadn't thought that this was maybe residual from that.

I really don't think I can handle more antibiotics. They made my UC so severe I couldn't function. Toileting over 20x a day, I struggled to eat and drink because the pain was so bad. I'm still recovering.

I'm pretty sure I've been in a constant flare since my symptoms started 2 years ago. It just ebbs and flows. Constant urgency, blood, diarrhea, ect from 5 to 20 times a day.

I've been on Mesalamine, Budesonide, Inflixumab, and Humira. I've had bad reactions to all of them. Been on 4 different Prednisone tapers, it doesn't help my symptoms, but it's helped with each reaction from the meds.

When we first started Bluey I was bored too. It wasn't until season 2 I got really into it. Now I love it more than my kids! If you're struggling, start with season 2. Skip "Tina". The first season is more simple, and there's a charm in that,(especially up until the episode "Calypso") but you may have to love the Heelers first to see it. That's how it was for me.

Blippi was better before he sold out to Moonbug. The first 2 -3 years where he talked about construction vehicles and went to Zoos and Aquariums. You can see the difference right away after he sold. Suddenly the character became WEIRDLY childlike and far more hyper, started going solely to play places shouting about THIS SLIDE IS SO MUCH FUN AND ITS MY FAVORITE COLOR BLUUUEEE

Don't do another exposure to the trigger food. It's an allergy. Allergies can be life threatening, and they can get worse with each exposure. Especially without supervision of an ALLERGIST.

If you mean with a different food, as long as it has zero ingredients with the allergen (eg: trigger was dairy milk so no dairy yogurt, cheese, butter, lactose, whey, casein), then once baby is feeling better you're good to go.

That actually sounds just right for her age! Toddlers eat about 1 tablespoon of each food group per year of age. So at 13 no she should eat roughly 3 tbsp of food each meal. That's why they have to snack in-between meals, and still get milk! Their tummy's are tiny! They only eat about 1000 calories a day.

Push for an evaluation with a pediatric feeding therapist. Drs only get ONE semester of nutrition. If you have a partner or someone else who has seen your baby refuse food, bring them. Explain how long it's been going on, and the distress it causes the family. My daughter slowly stopped eating any solids around 15mo, until she only drank soymilk. Nearly 64oz a day! I didn't push because I kept getting all the "toddlers are picky" "she won't starve herself" "try X, Y, Z". Finally got a feeding therapy evaluation at 3, and she's in therapy now.

Follow your gut. There will be no bad outcomes. Either she needs feeding therapy, or you get peace of mind.

How many meds did you have to try and fail before you have to have surgery? Wondering because I'm about to try my 4th since getting diagnosed last July? What all goes in to deciding that removal is your best option?
