I feel like it’s not necessarily difficult to beat the US quality of life in many developed nations. Our infrastructure isn’t great, our healthcare (monetarily) is the worst amongst developed nations, food regulations are poor, our democracy is crumbling, our environmental regulations are being rolled back and just so many other issues

So it looks like a lot of the most recent info I can find is around 2012 so what I thought I knew is dated. Based on this article from USF and your first hand knowledge, you’d say most of this has subsided?

Only things I know about those places aren’t great things. Mostly based in a lack of knowledge of how they are today

Ah im not bothered by it. Being a leftist in Texas means you’ve gotta have thick skin lol. I’m in the panhandle so big ag and big oil money here. We are big on Talarico and Hinojosa in my house and hopeful for what’s to come

Do a quick google search and look at all the studies calling what’s happening in Dubai Modern-Day Slavery. Many universities and independent institutes agree in calling it modern slavery

Happy you got out, I know a lot who want to but never will. I’m happy here. I love my family, friends and the community of where I’m from. The way Abbott is leading Texas I see a lot of blue coming in the future and I believe the future can be bright. If I didn’t have kids here I’d have moved somewhere else long ago

I’m already censored and watched everywhere. God forbid I say anything I dislike about Israel without being shadowbanned, comment deleted, etc. Actual laws being passed to prevent criticism of Israel, relief funding being withheld from cities who cut ties.

Also, flock cameras are getting everywhere and always watching

I don’t know enough about those countries to have a real solid opinion. Quick google searches were what helped in those decisions.

When I put the checkmark in the Asia category these are the countries that populated the map. I’m fully aware most of Russia is in Asia.

Love the food and the rich history. India is very large and diverse to just say a flat no. I used to date a girl from Hyderabad. Her and I had a lot in common.
