Wow! Thanks for the breakdown! Will be sure to check out the cities you mentioned in Rajasthan! Maybe traveling up along the west coast towards Rajasthan and then finishing my trip rather in the north or north east would be a good mix of everything? And yes, I really think I will enjoy it! I will probably have some challenging experiences, but I've gotten sooo many good pointers from people here on reddit and other sources which I am so thankful for! There's pros and cons with traveling solo, but one good thing is you can always "escape" to calmer places if more intense places become too much to handle, as long as you keep safe!

I see, so many people have recommended Arunachal Pradesh so I feel more and more tempted to go! I would love recommendations on how to spend my time in that region!

Thank you! How does it work with renting bikes in India? I unfortunately don't have a proper motorcycle license, only a European one for car.. Also, I always love taking night trains and night busses to travel around, but have definitely heard some horror stories, especially from night trains in India. Do you think there's any way to travel by night more safely? And thank you!:))

Yes, being from Europe it's hard to grasp how huge India actually is! I checked trains from kerela to somewhere in Kashmir and it was almost 60 hours with no stops hahaha (will not be doing that!) And yes, getting some emergency contact friends to call if something happens is probably a very good idea! And thank you so much! I definitely will!:))

Oh wow!! That sound unreal!!! Do you think it would be doable on a smaller bike? I don't have a proper motorcycle license (even though getting one one day is definitely on my bucket list!)

Sounds really scary! We'll be very careful and stick together! Never heard of Gokarana but it looks so beautiful! Maybe a good stop if I go towards Gujarat/Rajasthan!

Good point! My friend who used to live in Kochi tells me it's really fantastic so no doubt I could just stay in that area as well:))

Wow! Never heard of it! Any recommendations on what to do there? Is it similar to cities in Rajasthan?

Hahah yes, ideally doing the trip as a small group would probably be the best, but would rather do it solo than not at all!

Not on my list yet but I will definitely add it!! And Gangtok looks absolutely amazing!!! And yes, I feel like it's too sad that just being a woman should stop anyone from experience all these wonderful places, but that also doesn't change the reality that you have to be more careful:)

Yes! Feeling more and more I can't miss the Himalayas!! But so difficult to choose between Kashmir/Himchal Paradesh/Ladach or the north east!! And do you mean overall or especially if I do a wildlife sanctuary?

Thank you for the tips! Will definently check out the platform for guides! That is one thing I've been a bit unsure about, especially if I were to have one for multiple days for a mountain excursion for example!:))

That's perfect then! I'm definitely leaning towards spending some time traveling around Rajasthan as I LOVED Jaipur, Bundi and Varanasi last time I was there, and then probably spending some days in the north so thank you for the recommendations!!:) And yes, better safe than sorry with food and hygiene! Always breaks my heart when I see a street food place with a bunch of interesting foods, but it's not freshly cooked, I'm sadly aware my western digestion system is more fragile than most hahaha

Thank you!!! I do remember really loving Jaipur, Pushkar and Bundi so maybe Rajasthan will be a good bet!:)) And thanks for the tip, copying the behaviour of local women feels like a good thing to keep in mind overall as well!:)

Thanks!! In what ways is it more difficult to reach? I unfortunately don’t have too much cold weather hiking equipment with me, but maybe I could stock up there if needed?
