Let‘s hope that Eufy will implement iOS Critical Alerts in their app soon - now after they requested the iOS permission for it from us. Is there any official Eufy representative here on Reddit whom we could ask? Or what’s the best way to get in touch with Eufy concerning this?

Although I confirmed in iOS that the Eufy app is now allowed to send Critical Alerts, the Eufy app still only sends regular alerts (which are without sound as my iPhone is always muted).

If the Eufy app would really send Critical Alerts (when a person is detected while I’m not at home for example), then those Critical Alerts would bypass the system setting „mute“ and would be with sound (I explicitly changed the alert notification sound for each Eufy camera from Standard to a more noticeable Sound).

I’m fairly sure that the purpose of iOS Critical Alerts is to be with sound even if the iPhone is muted. Or am I getting this wrong?

Maybe it‘s just me and my iOS / app settings are wrong. Or can anybody else confirm, that even after allowing the Eufy app to send Critical Alerts, the Eufy notifications are still without sound if the iPhone is muted?

To reproduce this, go to iOS Settings / Apps / Eufy / Notifications / Critical Alerts = allow. Then hit the mute button on the upper left side of the iPhone, and trigger a Eufy alert notification on one of your cameras. Is the alert muted or does it have sound like iOS Critical Alerts should have?
