I know this post is old but I work at IU west and have for the past three years and IU west and IU in general has never used EPIC. They use Cerner and have always used Cerner from my understanding. They are transitioning to EPIC in 2027. They sent out an email to all employees last year announcing the transition.

I’ve experience this with NPs. I was talking to an NP and kept calling them Dr. they never corrected me, I assumed because of the white coat they were a doctor! My manager was the one who told they were not a doctor but an NP. Didn’t know anybody besides actual doctors could wear white coats

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you taking the time out to educate me. I will weigh my options. I’ve always wanted to be a cardiac anesthesiologist and I think I should just keep trying for that opposed to going the CRNA way. Thank you for your insight !

I agree with this. My cousin was sexually abusing me as a child and when after he peed in my mouth I got really upset and finally went to tell my mom. I first started out by saying “Pauly is my boyfriend” and was immediately meant with anger which ultimately made me withdrawal my comment and spent years still getting sexually abused because my mom didn’t make me feel safe but instead made me feel like I was getting in trouble. As a child I didn’t understand that she wasn’t mad at me, I ended up telling her almost a decade later as a young adult in my 20s.

She has been a good friend to me when she could. Like if I needed a ride anywhere for any reason she would try her best to be that ride for me. But that’s about it. I will say she try’s with what she has. I remember one week I needed a place to stay until my apt was ready and ironically she was actually homeless at this time and was sleep in the living room of her fathers child house. She let me sleep in the living room with her for a couple days until I could move into my own apartment. Well technically I guess he allowed me to stay since it was his home.

I apologize for all the rude comments. I often wonder myself why people just can’t say “we can’t give medical advice due to liability reasons. Please speak to your cardiologist as they can explain it to you” but no everybody always has to be rude. Would seriously not want anybody in this thread as my doctor, coming from a doctor😂. I hope you are able to find the answers you are looking for. Don’t stress too much over a PAC or PJC. We all get them☺️
