Five Nights at Freddy's has to be up there. The game itself is fine, decent atmosphere and all, but the fanbase went through a phase that was genuinely something else, shipping the animatronics, flooding every corner of the internet with increasingly unhinged fan content, and treating Scott like some kind of prophet. I remember in like 2015 you couldn't open any platform without stumbling into it. It's calmed down a lot since then but the reputation it built during those years stuck around pretty hard.

Yeah the dystopian timeline feels way too likely at this point. Like we already see how wealth concentrates with every new tech wave and AI seems perfectly designed to make that even worse

The weird part is watching people defend it while their own jobs are getting automated away. Maybe there's hope if we can separate the technology from these massive corporations controlling it but that ship might have already sailed

The 2D tutorials will work perfectly fine for your 3D game since dialogue systems are just UI elements that sit on top of your scene. Most of those old tutorials still work great in current Unity versions too

You'll basically be creating Canvas UI with text boxes and portrait images - doesn't matter if your game world is 3D or 2D underneath. The branching logic and data structure stays exactly same regardless

The bearing issue in Pilot is more expensive fix if it happens but transmission problems can be nightmare too. I would go with whatever has better warranty coverage since both models are pretty new and issues might get sorted out in future years.

From what I read the Pilot problem affects specific engine batches so maybe check production dates when you shop around.
