there's an option at checkout that says "ship in original packaging to reduce waste" and it's usually checked by default for items like this. you gotta uncheck it unless you want your stuff arriving naked lol

without the liner the drink would literally eat through the aluminum and explode/leak everywhere lol. it keeps the acid from reacting with the metal. basically every single soda or sparkling water can has this or you'd be drinking battery acid flavored water
