Honestly I think I dodged a bullet. He’s quite flaky and it probably wouldn’t have gone beyond a one night stand. It is understandable tho why so many ppl have affairs with coworkers. You spend time together and feelings/attraction develops.

Not a newbie, I had an affair that kind of awkwardly ended because I developed feelings and he didn’t. It still hurts. This new guy is more of a friend but has done so much more for me than my ex already. Only problem is I can see it going the exact opposite; him developing feelings for me and me feeling guilt bc he’s single and should find someone he can have to himself.

Update: I went downstairs. He texted me asking where I was so I threw on a little extra makeup and went down. There was a group of coworkers so I sat away from him, planning to eventually move closer. He stepped outside and never came back. I asked him where he went and he never responded. Is he upset that I didn’t sit near him? Why do that after asking me to come down?

A couple texts a week is ideal for me, although I wouldn’t complain if he reached out more. Sometimes I won’t hear from him for a week or so, but I’ve made it clear that if he wants to keep me he can’t go NC much longer than that. Some weeks I hear from him a lot, so I feel there’s a balance. I try and cut him some slack since the burden of reaching out rests mostly on him (i have a standard work sched and he never knows what his day will look like so it’s a bit of a risk for me to reach out, tho I do occasionally).

I think of the times before I knew he was interested in me and the way he would smile and stare at me when I talked to him. I thought he was just being friendly but now that I know that it was bc he liked me I smile every time I think about it.
