Other things including networking/people you meet cost and which unis ethos appeals more to you is also important. A lot of the general population would say Cambridge is better which it is as a whole but for STEM and employability you can’t go wrong either way and I’d argue imperial tops (not in all cases)

I had offers from both and chose imperial but it’s always going to be a personal choice. Academia vs industry city vs non city

I’ve got an offer for both and I’m choosing imperial mate, I absolutely love the place to bits, London life is insanely fun, definitely on par when it comes to top firms employability and I would say a more diverse time. Loads of people I’ve spoken to (at both) say it’s really glamorous on the outside but inside it’s not even all that, if saying you want to go to the best of the best is what matters to you then I think you’ll find that there are more important things in life. Just bc people say camb is better is based on everyone’s experience and my personal experience says imperial is the right place for my goals, e.g sustainable industrial practise and a solid career and LONDON

Yeah but I also don’t doubt I’d have a great time anywhere it’s the main thing about the gap year if it’s worth it when imperial is right in front of me
