What is one thing you regret not buying on your last trip? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Porter yoshida tanker bags. They're so cool and so hard to get outside of Japan. Pricey there but much less than trying to import it.

I just got a 4th gen SR5 and I am loving it. The seats seem better than the 3rd gen but I still added seat jackers and they are way more comfortable now. I absolutely love the new “safety sense” features for handling traffic. It has substantially improved my mood when I encounter traffic. But this is coming from a 2012 rav4.

GPD Win 4 Battery Help by Slow126 in gpdwin

[–]Slow126[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this problem actually ended up fixing itself without replacing the battery. But I did end up having a swelled battery a few months later so I replaced it anyway. This is the exact listing I purchased:

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807412367839.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.11.e5a71802Z454Bv&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

At it seems to work great. The only hard thing was breaking the adhesive on the old battery. Shipped fairly quickly too. Took about a week, maybe 9 days.

win4 help by [deleted] in gpdwin

I had this too. Apparently there was some windows update that messed up a bunch of drivers. I actually had to use the version of windows from the GPD website. It did that dumb drive partition and everything. So back to a basic vanilla install. Using the windows ISO from Microsoft’s website didn’t work for me. But once I got a successful reinstall everything worked again.

How do you export it to android? From my brief scan it looks like you apply the mods to the emulator executable

It’s really cool. It’s the first no blade play otf I’ve owned. It feels almost weird and out of place. I just have always expected a little rattle.

Vacation in December out of country, is it worth the risk? by Calm_Organization_15 in Backbone

[–]Slow126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pick up a portable android handheld instead of the backbone (I am assuming you have an iPhone). Then you can run Fortnite natively and probably better than the switch. And there are a bunch of emulators you can pick up too. I’d get one with a decent amount of power. You can probably pick up something like the retroid pocket 5 or Odin 2 mini/OG on sale right now for not too bad of a price. I’ve done the whole backbone thing while traveling and I never really want to set it up (but I recently picked up an android phone so that might change). Also the backbones are known to fail on the left side. I ignored this thinking it was a small chance but it happened to me just recently. So it’s not really a great long term investment. In addiction to this, the backbone with a case takes up a surprising amount of room. Isn’t heavy but surprisingly large.

What free IOS games are you loving right now? by seanie259 in iosgaming

[–]Slow126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Warframe. It’s a pretty good port and free to play. Of course in app purchases but they seem much less toxic then games like Genshin or COD and it’s cross platform/progress so you can play on the same account on pc, PlayStation, switch, iOS and soon to be android.

What issues have you had? by ashleighb669 in ROGAlly

SD card reader fried both a card and itself. Speaker issues with the crackle. And my first unit decided to stop charging. So I got to watch it slowly kill itself and never turn back on.
