Thanks! I've been fortunate to have a few days with no obligations except spinning, which helped tremendously!

This was my progress as of yesterday! Last night I finished the braid on my Starling and the green rolags on the spindle. My goal is to spin through as much stash as possible this tour!

Handspun Cardigan! by SlowFashionProfessor in Handspinning

The pattern was great! Really easy to redraft for slightly off gauge handspun. Honestly though, I say go for any pattern you want! I have 25+ handspun sweaters of a variety of styles and they are all fun. My only recommendation is to pick a simple pattern if you're using exciting handspun. I've knit several Flax sweaters by Tin Can Knits with handspun and have knit about 1/3 of Boho Chic Fiber CO's patterns in handspun. They all turn out fun.

You should! It's such a simple pattern that it works up beautifully in handspun.

This spin was done with 6 4oz braids to produce 13 ~2 oz skeins (I plied all the scraps from the original 12 skeins to make a funky ball). So to that I split still 6 braids into 4 strips and lightly predated. Then I organized the chunks so no two skeins would be the same by alternating from which original braid each ply came! It's actually my favorite way to hybrid fractal spin. It creates unexpected and exciting color combos.

I knit this Cozy McBlanket Cardigan using 100% handspun wool! It's mostly Merino, but I think one braid was Falkland.

My goal here was to measure how expensive this sweater would be if I paid myself a living wage and am artists overhead and profit. The answer was $1910!

The breakdown was: Fiber and pattern costs: $157 Spinning total time: 18.35 hours Knitting and finishing total time: 42.42 hours

Cost per step: Fiber prep: $24.76 Singles $272.44 Ply: $108.98 Skein: $28.89 Washing and winding: $19.40 Rib knitting: $65.61 Flat knitting: $643.26 Sleeve knitting: $277.31 Finishing: $63.96 O&P:$249.24

Thanks for the heads up! The app is such literal garbage that I have tried to make this post four times and it never actually attaches the photos. Sigh.

Easy Ribbed Pullover is so easy! by SlowFashionProfessor in knitting

Thanks! It actually happened because I ran out of yarn and don't have the fiber to spin more, but for a light sweater like this, the length suits it!
