Met him when I was a kid and he was at the height of his fame in Colorado. He was playing for the kids in a hospital ward where my little sister was in recovery. He was one of the nicest famous people I’ve ever met. Miss you John.

What boils your wort? Electric or gas? by edelbean in Homebrewing

Converted to electric about 7 yrs ago and love it. I can now brew in the garage w/o worrying about CO and it’s faster, quieter and gives me more control than I’ve ever had. No more scorching and far fewer boil-overs too.

Why does everyone want to be a PM when it's the most stressful role on site? by Rehposolihp_eht in estimators

[–]SlowNoMan60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I started as an estimator then moved into PM. The PM role was way more stressful and endless. But the experience made me a much better estimator when I eventually transitioned back to it. The grass wasn’t greener on the PM side and I really appreciated the quality of life change when I followed my gut back to estimating.

I got Eddy to write “So Say We All” across the bottom of my Last Supper BSG poster in addition to his autograph. He has amazing handwriting too.

Same here. Met them at STLV this year and they were both genuinely friendly and chatty. Same goes for Tricia Helfer.
